‘The Blacklist’ Fans Are Noticing Chemistry Between Aram and Weecha
Although The Blacklist is an action show, the series has always tied in romantic relationships for its characters. Amir Arison’s character Aram has had some pretty bad luck when it comes to love. In fact, he hasn’t had much of a love interest since season 6. Now in The Blacklist Season 9, fans have spotted a character that Aram might have some chemistry with.
Aram’s previous love interests didn’t work out
Aram has had a few previous love interests throughout the course of The Blacklist. In season 4, he dated a hacker named Janet Sutherland. She was a former member of the Thrushes who initially dated Aram to keep tabs on the task force. However, Aram eventually learns the truth, and Janet gets arrested.
Later Janet agrees to work with the NSA in exchange for full immunity. She and Aram get back together, but they break up again when Aram learns that she testified against him after they were subpoenaed by a grand jury.
Aram and Agent Samar Navabi become romantically involved soon after these events. The pair get engaged in season 5 after Samar wakes up from nearly drowning. Unfortunately, she begins suffering from vascular dementia, making her a target for the Osterman Umbrella Company. Samar decides that she has to leave forever to hide where no one will be able to find her.
‘The Blacklist’ fans have noticed some chemistry between Weecha and Aram
Aram certainly has a thing for badass women and it’s about time he had another love interest. The Blacklist Season 9 introduced Red’s new bodyguard. Red met Weecha Xui while hiding out after Liz’s death. Now she never leaves his side, and she shows impressive skills both with a gun and in hand-to-hand combat.
Weecha also makes her own liquor, which Red brings to the task force in the season 9 premiere. Aram tells Weecha that she could probably drink him under the table, to which she gives a little smirk. In episode 11, Aram visits Red and reminds Weecha that he is the one she can drink under the table.
Although they have only had a few interactions, fans are noticing some chemistry between Aram and Weecha. “Loved the look that Weecha gave Aram when he said (again) she could drink him under the table. The look said ‘flirt away little man. I could break you in two,'” one Reddit user wrote.
“Loved this scene, Aram is definitely drawn to Weecha, that would be an interesting relationship,” another fan commented on Twitter. Of course, there’s no guarantee that this pair will become a couple, but the interactions between them are still fun to watch.
Will Mierce ever come back?
The Blacklist Season 9 also introduced Weecha’s sister Mierce. While Weecha is a bodyguard, Mierce was a kind of healer for Red. The pair were also romantically involved. However, Mierce left Red in episode 8 out of fear for his obsession over Liz Keen’s death.
Mierce instructs Red to buy flowers and update her on their condition every day. In episode 11, Red mentions that he “had a bad reading.” He is clearly still in contact with Mierce, but it’s hard to say if she will be back this season.
