Meanwhile, Harold Cooper discovered more information about his blackmailer, and Raymond Reddington reunited with an old friend. This week, Cynthia Panabaker returns, and needs help from the task force, while Red continues to dig into Liz’s death.
What happened in ‘The Blacklist’ Season 9 Episode 13?
In the most recent episode of The Blacklist Season 9, the task force investigated Genuine Models, Inc., a company whose life-like sex robots have begun murdering politicians. Aram Mojtabai determines that a man named Gordon hacked the robots and programmed them to kill. Gordon has his own “Chrissy” robot who he has fallen in love with and is punishing other men for the way they treat the robots.
Meanwhile, Cooper and Lew continue to dig into his mysterious blackmailer. They find Beverly Grant, a close friend of the bartender who drugged Cooper. Beverly reveals that the man who ordered the bartender to drug Cooper was carrying a New York Police Detective badge.
Red reunites with his old flame Cassandra at a funeral for their old colleague Barney. Cassandra and Red believe that Barney swindled them out of a ruby necklace, which is now worn by Barney’s widow, Matilda. It turns out that Matilda was the one who did the swindling. She even killed Barney.
Red banishes Matilda to exile and snatches the ruby necklace. Cassandra states that the two “make a good team” but Red turns her down, citing his love for Mierce. He does however give Cassandra the necklace as a consolation prize.
What is ‘The Blacklist’ Season 9 Episode 14 about?
The Blacklist Season 9 Episode 14 is titled “Eva Mason.” According to otakuart.com, the official synopsis for the episode reads, “The Task Force discovers there may be a bigger pattern of abductions while hunting for Sen Panabaker’s missing daughter-in-law. Red continues to piece together the puzzle of Liz’s demise.”
The synopsis and promo photos prove that there will be some familiar faces making an appearance in episode 14. Cynthia Panabaker is a name fans of The Blacklist all know. Some are even suspicious that she is involved in blackmailing Cooper. Perhaps episode 14 will give some insight into this theory.
Teddy Brimley also appears in a promo photo for the new episode. Brimley is a member of Red’s syndicate who specializes in interrogation and torture. Given the episode synopsis, it’s likely that Brimley is brought in to help Red extract information from someone who might know something about Liz’s death.

The Blacklist Season 9 Episode 14 will air Friday, April 1 at 8 p.m. EST. Fans of the series know that NBC has taken several breaks from airing new episodes throughout this season. Luckily it seems like that is over and done with for the season. The show should continue to release new episodes every week until the season finale airs in May.
