‘The Bold and the Beautiful’: 3 Reasons Deacon’s Son Little Eric Could Return Soon
The Bold and the Beautiful fans know to expect the unexpected with the CBS soap opera. Recently, the return of Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan) has brought excitement to the show. One person they’d love to see with Deacon is his son Little Eric (Field Cate). Here are three reasons why the young man may return soon.
‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ Little Eric’s relationship with his dad
As an infant, Little Eric’s life was filled with drama. The boy was at a center of a custody battle between Deacon and Amber Moore (Adrienne Frantz) and Rick Forrester (Jacob Young). Throughout the battle, Deacon uses his son as a bargaining chip to win the affection of Amber. After Deacon’s plot failed, he and Amber shared custody of Little Eric.
However, Deacon later won custody of Little Eric, and the two eventually left town. Years later, they showed up in Genoa City, where Deacon once again used Little Eric to lure Amber. Yet, after Deacon is arrested for kidnapping, Little Eric lives with Amber while his dad goes to prison.
The last mention of Little Eric came in 2010 with Amber Moore’s return to The Bold and the Beautiful. It’s revealed the boy is in boarding school and maintains a close relationship with Amber and Rick. As for his relationship with Deacon, that’s unknown.
Deacon’s been absent most of Little Eric’s life, and he rarely talks about his son. Little Eric returning could shed light on his current relationship with his dad. It’d also give The Bold and the Beautiful a chance to relive history as Deacon recalls his past with Amber and Becky Moore (Marissa Tait).
Creating chaos for his sister Hope Logan
Aside from reuniting with his dad, Little Eric will also be involved in his sister Hope Logan’s (Annika Noelle) life. Since family is vital to Hope, she’ll want to get to know her older brother. However, Little Eric may not have any interest in bonding with his sister.
Deacon’s main priority seems to be Hope and not Little Eric. So it would be understandable for Little Eric to have some resentment toward Hope. As the son of a reformed bad boy, Little Eric may have inherited his father’s scheming ways. If so, Hope’s life will be more chaotic, with her brother wreaking havoc.
Sheila Carter enlists Little Eric in her scheme
Since Deacon’s return to The Bold and the Beautiful, he’s become friends with another villain. Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) tries to convince Deacon to join her plot to get back at the Forresters. As reported by Celeb Dirty Laundry, Sheila’s latest scheme involves breaking up her son Dr. John “Finn” Finnegan’s (Tanner Novlan) marriage to Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood).
Sheila hopes that Finn will dump Steffy for Hope; that way, everyone can be one big happy family. However, Deacon refuses to have any part of it. With Deacon unwilling to join her, Sheila may pull out the big guns, including Little Eric.
She could threaten to harm Little Eric to blackmail Deacon to go along with her plan. Or she could hire Little Eric to come between Steffy and Finn. The Bold and the Beautiful fans have always theorized that a grown-up Little Eric would be a perfect match for Steffy. Could they finally get their wish when and if Little Eric returns?
