‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ Actor Darin Brooks Dishes On the Filming Location He Loves
For over a decade, Darin Brooks has been known as the hunky actor that is best known for starring on popular soap operas like Days of Our Lives and The Bold and Beautiful.
During his career, the 36-year-old soap opera star has had the privilege of traveling to a few different exotic and beautiful locations for filming. Out of all of the places that Brooks has been able to travel to, he seems to like one foreign location the best.
Recently, Brooks to Twitter to let fans know which filming location he has enjoyed the most. Keep reading to find out which locations Darin Brooks loved to film and which locations he hopes to be able to go back to in the near future.
What character does Darin Brooks play on ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’?
Brooks got his start in television in 2005 when he was cast to play Max Brady on the iconic soap opera Days of Our Lives, which earned him a Daytime Emmy Award in 2009. He stayed on the show for five years before moving on and picking up another regular role on the Spike TV series, Blue Mountain State.
In 2011, he left Blue Mountain State and had a few small roles here and there on some popular TV shows including CSI: Miami and Castle.
In 2013, Brooks got the big break that he had been waiting for when he was cast to play the role of Wyatt Spencer on the legendary soap opera, The Bold and the Beautiful,
The character of Wyatt Spencer was introduced to the show in 2013. At that time, Wyatt was working with his mother, Quinn Fuller (played by Rena Sofer) to get their struggling jewelry business up on its feet. Then, Spencer discovers that he is the illegitimate child of a millionaire, Bill Spencer (played by Don Diamont).
After coming to terms with the realization of who is father is, Wyatt tried to form a relationship with Bill. While trying to form a relationship with his dad and a romantic relationship with a woman named Hope, he immediately becomes rivals with his half-brother, Liam Spencer (played by Scott Clifton), who also happens to be dating Hope at the time.
Where is ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ filmed?
For the most part, The Bold and the Beautiful is filmed in Los Angeles on Stage 31 at CBS Television City. However, there have been several instances when the cast has ventured beyond the stage and filmed a few scenes at different locations.
According to CBS, scenes form B&B has been shot at various locations around California, including Malibu Creek State Park, Marina Del Rey, Paradise Cove in Malibu, and the Santa Monica Pier.
While most of their off-stage locations have been shot around California, in 2014, B&B decided to film a few scenes outside of the country. The Liam, Wyatt, Hope love triangle went to Amsterdam in 2014 where the drama heated up pretty quickly.
Did Darin Brooks enjoy filming in Amsterdam?
In 2014, several cast members of B&B performed a live show in the Netherlands and then traveled to Amsterdam to shoot a few scenes. While they were in Amsterdam, they all seemed to have a really good time. However, no one seemed to enjoy their time in Amsterdam more than Darin Brooks.
Recently, a fan of the show asked Brooks if he would ever want to return to Amsterdam. The Emmy-winning actor was quick to reply, “HELL YES!!! I LOVE AMSTERDAM!!”
So far, the writers of The Bold and the Beautiful have not said if they ever expect to film in Amsterdam again. And although the recent COVID-19 pandemic has caused the popular soap opera to temporarily stop production, The New York Times recently announced that the cast has returned to the set and it will be the first television show to resume production since the pandemic. Still, it will probably be a long time before the cast is able to film outside of the country.
