‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ Comings & Goings: New Faces in Los Angeles!
The Bold and the Beautiful has had a frequently rotating cast of characters since it first debuted back in 1987. But it’s been a while since new faces have appeared on the canvas. (And, really, the announcement of the return of Kimberlin Brown as Sheila Carter was quite big enough.) Now, though, we’ll have a whole new series of fresh faces joining the regulars in Los Angeles. Let’s take a look at who you can expect to see in the coming weeks.
Darin Brooks’ role on ‘The Bold and The Beautiful’ will be more limited
Fans of The Bold and the Beautiful have noticed that Darin Brooks’ character of Wyatt Spencer hasn’t been on the canvas as much. And it’s not where his story doesn’t have any sort of place in the storyline. Rather, the messiness within his family — namely, how his mother is carrying on with Carter — should have him smack-dab in the middle of the nonsense. Yet, he’s nowhere to be found.
But that’s because Brooks has been off filming other projects. According to his IMDb page, in addition to filming for the Apple+ series Amber Brown, he’s also in pre-production for two films and filming another.
Brooks is also providing his voice to the upcoming Hulu show, The Croods: Family Tree. He’s providing the voice of Guy. So where does that leave his role on The Bold and the Beautiful?
Will he be off the show altogether?
Obviously, many The Bold and the Beautiful fans have been wondering whether Brooks will ever return to the show, or whether Wyatt Spencer will be recast. But Soaps @ SheKnows has exclusively confirmed that Brooks remains under contract on the show.
Further, according to the outlet, a representative for CBS has confirmed that Brooks remains under contract as Wyatt Spencer. So, it doesn’t look like he’ll be going anywhere anytime soon. But Brooks does invite everyone to check out his new show once they’re able.
“I’m so incredibly blessed to be working with you all!” he said, in reference to his new castmates on Amber Brown. “You’re all brilliant in this, and… all of you out there have to check it out when it drops… Keep you all posted! You’re gonna love it!”
Other ‘B&B’ comings and goings
SoapHub has confirmed that there will be other new faces coming to The Bold and the Beautiful in minor roles.
According to the outlet, Dieter Ruehle will be appearing on the show on Oct. 6. Ruehle’s face should be familiar to fans of the LA Dodgers, as he’s the Music Director and Organist for the team. He also has the role for the Los Angeles Kings. Ruehle will appear on the show as a rep for the Dodgers. Look for him in a scene with Paris and Zende.
Additionally, Nick Waters’ Keith will be back on the canvas as one of Sheila Carter’s newest sleazy allies. He’ll be making periodic appearances on the show throughout the week. But it remains to be seen whether he’ll become a regular on The Bold and the Beautiful.
