In the past few years, fans expressed their appreciation for the characters’ outfits and styles, but it seems like Taylor hasn’t been extended the same courtesy. Viewers have mixed feelings about her hair.
Fans don’t know how to feel about Taylor’s hair on ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’
The Bold and The Beautiful has been around for a long time. As such, the producers have recast some of the characters to keep their stories going. Still, even with fresh actors, the showrunners prefer to maintain the characters’ original appearances so fans aren’t confused.
When B&B got a new Taylor, things seemed fine until they weren’t. Although the new Taylor appeared the same as the old one, something was way off, and viewers couldn’t help but notice. It was the wig. Taylor’s hairpiece threw off many fans who took to Twitter to voice their opinion and let the show know.
The Bold and The Beautiful‘s official Twitter account shared a picture of Ridge and Taylor holding hands. While viewers of the series offered their insights on Taylor’s storyline, others couldn’t help but point out how awful her wig was.
One fan asked, “When is Taylor going to show her real hair??? She is beautiful but that wig,” ending the comment with a shocked emoji. Another replied to the comment saying, “When she first came, she had her real hair. The next day they slapped that awful wig on her.” Other comments included, “The Muppets called and want their wig back” and “Fix that horrible wig on her head.”
The hairpiece situation is not new to the actor who plays Taylor. Recently a fan tagged the actor, saying, “You go girl! You and that wig have Brooke running scared!!” to which Krista Allen retweeted with laughing emojis.

Hunter Tylo had played Taylor for 29 years. So when The Bold and The Beautiful announced Allen would replace her, the news was met with mixed reactions. However, with time, Allen has proven she can take on the job. Fans praise her portrayal of the character.
Still, viewers can’t understand why B&B decided to give the new Taylor red hair. The old actor, played by Tylo, didn’t have red hair to begin with. It turns out Allen has a reason for wearing the wig. According to Soaps She Knows, when the actor took over, she rocked a blonde pixie cut, which was a stark contrast to the signature dark locks fans knew Taylor for.
Since she didn’t have time to alter the hair, Allen decided to go with a wig. The show has since been experimenting with the hair, even switching the color from red to brown. But fans still don’t approve.
