The August 27th episode of ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ contained a goof

The August 27th episode of The Bold and the Beautiful was explosive when Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) came home to find Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) standing in her living room. The scene between the two ladies was intense as Steffy slapped her mother-in-law. Although most of the attention was focused on the women, fans couldn’t help but pay attention to Dr. John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan).

It wasn’t Finn’s reaction to the showdown that caught the viewers’ focus, but his sudden change in appearance. Earlier in the scene, Finn had long hair, but he was seen sporting a buzzcut midway through. The goof of Finn’s changing hairstyle was a topic of discussion on Twitter. “Well, Finn had time to get a haircut while Sheila was holding his son,” joked one viewer.

Other soap opera goofs

Finn’s hairstyle isn’t the only blunder that’s been seen on The Bold and the Beautiful. In the late 90s, during a love scene between Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) and Taylor Hayes (Hunter Tylo), viewers noticed something off with Taylor’s lingerie. The lighting of the scene made it appear Taylor wasn’t wearing any underwear under her sheer nightie.

Another famous soap opera goof came on a 2008 episode of All My Children. Actor Cameron Mathison was sitting on a couch; then, when he arose, the camera captured what appeared to be a thong sticking out of his jeans. Mathison denied the thong rumor and said it was the way his undershirt was tucked into his pants.
