‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ Fans Think the Steffy-Hope-Liam Triangle Is About to Return

Although fans are mourning the beloved character, some believe The Bold and the Beautiful writers want to resurrect a storyline that many speculated was behind them. Here’s why fans think the Steffy-Hope-Liam love triangle is about to return.
Steffy, Hope, and Liam have been in a never-ending love triangle on ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’
For years, Steffy Forrester and Hope Logan have found themselves lusting and fighting for the same man, and Liam Spencer isn’t the only one. The emotional disaster that involves Steffy, played by Jacqueline MacInnes Wood, and Hope, played by Anika Noelle, began decades ago.
Their fight for love may have been passed down from their mothers, Taylor and Brook, who both loved and fought over Ridge Forrester. Hope and Steffy first butted heads over Oliver Jones. Oliver initially showed interest and affection for Hope. But Steffy decided she wanted him for herself and went to great pains to make that happen.
After Oliver came Wyatt Spencer, whom both ladies married at different points. Wyatt was soon replaced by Liam, who proves to be the most important love interest shared by the two women. Liam has constantly jumped back and forth between Steffy and Hope. He’s even fathered their children. His ability to commit to either woman at given times has made for good TV. But fans eventually got tired of it.
Fans think the long-standing love triangle between Steffy, Hope, and Liam is set to return
When Finn began courting Steffy, fans were divided. Some wanted her to commit to him; others held out hope for her reunion with Liam. However, Finn and Steffy’s love endured, and they got married. Things weren’t meant to be, however, as Finn’s mother shot him — intending to shoot Steffy — tragically ending his life.
Well, Finn’s body is barely cold, and there are already hints that Steffy and Hope will once again form a triangle of drama with Liam. The Bold and the Beautiful isn’t a stranger to lather-rinse -repeat storylines involving romance. While the love triangle won’t be new (and won’t involve Steffy’s former flame Bill Spencer), it might not sit well.
Some fans on Twitter expressed their anger at Finn’s death. One said they don’t want to go through “the waffle triangle” again, indicating the love triangle. Many fans declared they would stop watching the show if The Bold and the Beautiful forced the love triangle.
Other fans speculate that the writers will reverse Hayes’ paternity to make Liam the father so they can continue pushing the angle. Many felt the soap opera did a fine job hanging up the storyline and giving Steffy much-deserved happiness. Although fans are against the storyline, the show’s writers may still move forward with it once Wood returns from maternity leave.
Fans want Steffy and Hope to leave Liam altogether
Liam doesn’t have a strong standing with The Bold and The Beautiful fans. He has been labeled disappointing, toxic, and narcissistic by many. Viewers have pointed out how awful he has been to both women and now appeal to Hope and Steffy to kick him to the curb.
Liam has been unfaithful to both Steffy and Hope throughout. It, therefore, might make sense if the step-sisters decided to let go.
