‘The Bold and the Beautiful’: Fans Don’t Understand Why Eric Always Supports Brooke
The Bold and the Beautiful‘s Eric Forrester (John McCook) is the heart of the show. Since 1987 Eric has run his successful fashion empire while also caught in the middle of family drama. Most of the Forrester drama revolves around his ex-wife Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang), with whom he’s still friends. Despite the trouble she’s caused, Eric always supports Brooke, which is baffling to viewers.

Eric and Brooke were one of The Bold and the Beautiful‘s most famous love stories. The Forrester patriarch’s marriage to the blonde beauty created a stir with the Forresters and the Logans. The couple had two children, Rick and Bridget Forrester (Jacob Young and Ashley Jones), who will always connect the exes.
Although Eric and Brooke divorced, they remained on good terms. He’s been a huge comfort to Brooke whenever she has a problem and defends her against others. Currently, Eric is offering his support as Brooke goes through another breakup with Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye).
While Eric’s actions seem noble, it’s confusing to fans. On Twitter, viewers discussed his never-ending support of Brooke. “I knew Brooke was gonna call Eric so she can get him on her side. Brooke Logan’s caused drama for the Forrester family
The Forrester family has gone through plenty of drama at the hands of Brooke. During Brooke and Eric’s marriage, she still pined after his son Ridge, even though he moved on with other women. Brooke would cheat on Eric with Ridge, leading to her pregnancy and a who’s the daddy storyline. While initial tests showed Ridge was Bridget’s father, it was later proven that Eric is the dad.
Aside from causing heartache for Eric, Brooke hurt other Forrester family members. Her marriage to Thorne Forrester (Ingo Rademacher) ended when he overheard her confess she loved Ridge. Also, no one can forget Brooke sleeping with her son-in-law, Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan), and breaking Bridget’s heart.
Last year, Brooke was up to her scheming when she again tried to break up Eric’s marriage to Quinn Fuller (Rena Sofer). Upset over Quinn cheating on Eric, Brooke convinced her sister Donna Logan (Jennifer Gareis) to go after Eric. Yet, Brooke’s plan didn’t work since Eric and Quinn are still together.
Will the exes reunite?
Eric will always have a soft spot in his heart for Brooke. While the two are fine as friends, The Bold and the Beautiful fans wonder if they’ll ever get back together. Speculation of a reunion is increasing after the recent turn of events.
With Ridge moving out again, it’s only a matter of time before Brooke finds comfort with another man. While many fans believe she’ll hook up with Deacon, it’s Eric who may win her heart. Eric would be an unexpected suitor, yet their reunion would cause drama.
