John McCook to star in Food Network holiday movie

Like many soap stars, McCook’s newest role will have him in a Christmas movie. Although many fans expect the film to be on the Hallmark Channel, it will air on the Food Network. According to DaytimeConfidential.com, McCook will appear in the network’s upcoming film Candy Coated Christmas.

Candy Coated Christmas is the first original film from the cooking channel. It will feature the acting debut of The Pioneer Woman host Ree Drummond. The movie will also be a family affair for McCook, whose daughter Molly McCook stars in the lead role.

Like her famous dad, Molly followed her dreams of acting. She’s had several credits to her name, but she’s mostly known for playing Mandy Baxter during the last three seasons of Last Man Standing. Now, she’ll get a chance to make magic with her new film.
