‘The Bold and the Beautiful’: Krista Allen Agrees Taylor Shouldn’t Be With Ridge

Taylor and Ridge’s love story began three decades ago on The Bold and the Beautiful. The two have gone through many ups and downs, including Ridge’s waffling between her and Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang). Again their epic love triangle is a massive storyline.
After learning about Brooke’s kiss with Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan), Ridge walks out on her. It doesn’t take him long before he’s kissing Taylor and telling her he wants to come home. While the moment should be exciting for Tridge fans, they’re upset. Hours earlier, Ridge was proclaiming his love for Brooke before deciding to go back to Taylor.
Ridge’s waffling behavior isn’t only angering fans but also Allen. In a recent interview with Soaps.com, Allen opens up about her character’s romance. “And that’s the challenge for me because I just want Taylor to be strong. I want her to kick the waffler to the curb!”
Ridge Forrester is treating her like his backup choice
For over 30 years, The Bold and the Beautiful has had Ridge being torn between Taylor and Brooke. He loves both women and has children and a history with them. While many consider Brooke the love of his life, fans would disagree.
Taylor and Ridge had an epic love story, which involved him traveling to St. Thomas to propose to her. The two went through many challenges, including infidelity, Taylor’s presumed deaths, and Steffy Forrester’s (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) kidnapping. Yet, Ridge’s love for his wife never wavered.
However, the show has written Taylor as Ridge’s backup choice in recent years. When things go wrong with Brooke, he can rely on Taylor to take him back.
Fans fear he’ll break her heart again
The current round of the love triangle isn’t sitting well with The Bold and the Beautiful fans. While fans love Taylor, they think she acted too quick in reconciling with Ridge. On Twitter, viewers voiced their opinion on how the Tridge reunion will be cut short.
“Taylor isn’t the “One” for Ridge.! We all know he eventually goes back/forth with Brooke,” one user wrote. “I must admit I have always thought Ridge belonged with Taylor. But I fear Taylor will be hurt again. Hope the writers don’t disappoint me!” another commenter chimed in.
The storyline is heating up now that Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) learned Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) switched Brooke’s champagne setting up this chain of events. It’s a matter of time before Ridge discovers the secret and is left with another difficult choice. Does he return to Brooke or stay with Taylor?
