Maya had a baby!

The Bold and the Beautiful star Karla Mosley — whom fans know as Maya Avant — just had a baby!

Soaps @ SheKnows confirmed that the actor gave birth to her second daughter, Willa Josephine, on July 19. Baby Willa joins her big sister Aurora and her father, John Rogers.

But prior to giving birth, Mosley said that she felt like a “stuffed pepper” in her last trimester.

Melody Thomas Scott’s daughter made her debut, in a manner of speaking, on B&B

Melody Thomas Scott is a soap opera legend. She’s best known for her role as Nikki on The Young and the Restless. Yet, this past week, her daughter made her debut on The Bold and the Beautiful — but not as an actor like her mother.

Instead, Alexandra Yeaggy — whose father is the late Y&R makeup artist Carlos Yeaggy — debuted her bridal gowns on the show. One of her gowns was featured in the July 30 scene where Ridge, Eric, and Thomas are checking out newly designed gowns for Steffy’s wedding. And while Yeaggy didn’t design Steffy’s dress, she said it was an honor to be featured on the show.

“The gown they used is actually currently in development and still needed to be hemmed,” she said to Soaps @ SheKnows, “which made it perfect. Because in the scene the gown wasn’t supposed to be completely finished.”

This is the best The Bold and the Beautiful odds and ends news

This is perhaps the best The Bold and the Beautiful odds and ends news for longtime fans of the show.

B&B was the first show to return to airing originals in the United States since the COVID-19 pandemic broke out. They did that one year ago — during the week of July 20, 2020. And according to Soap Opera Digest, their ratings soared as a result.

“With an average of 2.866 million viewers tuned in during the week of July 19-23, 2021, “B&B” was up 761,000 viewers compared to its performance one year earlier and is relatively on par with its performance in 2019,” reports the outlet. The outlet also confirmed that B&B is tied with Y&R in second place for ratings (behind The Price is Right).
