Is ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ Pre-Empted Due to the Christmas Holiday?
If you’re a fan of The Bold and the Beautiful, you’re aware that there are times that the soap will periodically get pre-empted. This week, unfortunately, may be one of those times. Christmas is a special time of year for everyone — and that includes the networks. As such, The Bold and the Beautiful may be one of the shows that are pre-empted this week.
‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ was last pre-empted on February 9
The last time The Bold and the Beautiful was pre-empted was February 9, 2021. At that time, the popular soap opera was pre-empted because the second impeachment trial of Donald Trump was taking place. As such, the soap opera didn’t air a new episode. The Young and the Restless, as well, aired a repeat on that day.
While fans were certainly disappointed, it’s not the first time that a soap opera has ever been pre-empted. Days of Our Lives was pre-empted due to the Olympics, and General Hospital gets pre-empted due to the holidays.
But it will not be pre-empted on Christmas eve
There is a bit of good news for fans of The Bold and the Beautiful. According to Soaps.com, the December 24 episode of the show will be a brand-new one. Check your local listings for the time and the channel. And, if you miss a first-run episode when it airs, you can always check it out on the Paramount Plus app.
What can ‘B&B’ fans expect on the December 24 episode?
Fans of The Bold and the Beautiful who love them some drama can expect an episode chock-full of it, just in time for Christmas eve. At that time, Ridge will be hosting a Christmas celebration at his house, where he’ll be going on about “family” and deliver a touching speech to that effect,” reports Soaps.com. “Hope spends time alone with Deacon for Christmas before joining Liam and the children at Eric’s, where Ridge gives a touching speech about the holidays and family before he, Quinn, Brooke, Carter, Zende, Paris, Hope and Liam gather around the piano as Eric leads them in singing a traditional Christmas carol.”
While the message will definitely hit home for Hope, she’ll still want to see her father. And she’ll do just that when she spends some “quality time” with Deacon before heading over to her mom’s house with Ridge, Liam, and their children. But that’s not the only Christmas miracle in the air.
“The spirit of Christmas really is in the air as Sheila extends her gratitude to Taylor for allowing her to spend the holiday with her, Steffy, Finn, Thomas, Kelly and Hayes, and Brooke and Quinn decide to put their differences behind them for the night,” reports the outlet. “Wait, is this a dream?!?”
This week’s The Bold and the Beautiful promises to be packed with drama, that’s for sure.
