‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ Speculation: Brooke’s Alcoholism Draws Ridge Closer
The Bold and the Beautiful is certainly entering into 2022 with a proverbial bang. Brooke got drunk and kissed Deacon to close out 2021. And none other than little Douglas caught Grandmommy kissing Deacon Claus. How embarrassing! But, as it turns out, Brooke is blaming it on the plonk. The champagne triggered her alcoholism, and now, she’s downing back shots. Believe it or not, though, this doesn’t drive Ridge away. In fact, the latest speculation suggests that Ridge actually comes closer to Brooke than ever before.

On ‘The Bold and the Beautiful,’ Brooke’s alcoholism takes center stage again
Fans of The Bold and the Beautiful know that Brooke’s alcoholism periodically pops up as a storyline. One of the most infamous times was when Ridge rejected her to marry Caroline. But this time around, Brooke’s alcoholism was triggered by an accident. Or, to put a fine point on it, it didn’t happen because she set out for it to happen.
Brooke and Deacon had more than a little bit of the plonk on the December 30 episode of the show. (And why not. It’s New Year’s Eve.) But there’s a problem with the plonk, and it’s that it lowers your inhibitions. In Brooke and Deacon’s case, in fact, it lowered their inhibitions so much that they engaged in a forbidden kiss.
And who should happen to catch them in the act? Why, none other than little Douglas, of course! And because good old Deacon was in a full Santa Claus suit, it’s easy to think that dear Brooke was caught kissing Santa Claus, as the old song goes.
She’s afraid that if Ridge finds out, their relationship is over for good
As SoapHub revealed, this week’s The Bold and the Beautiful will feature Brooke waking up from New Year’s Eve with a head full of regrets. Look for Brooke to really think about her life choices on the Monday, January 3 episode of the show. Brooke is really hoping that her ex, Deacon, won’t go blabbing all over Los Angeles about the kiss they never should have had.
“Brooke has two options here. She can either cover up her sins and hope her secret stays buried or tell on herself, beg for forgiveness, and get herself some help. This is a defining moment sure to show what kind of person Brooke really is,” reports the outlet.
Right now, though, the biggest obstacle between Brooke and Ridge fully imploding (which all but seems inevitable at this point) is Deacon’s big mouth. And while Brooke would love nothing more than to think that Deacon can keep a secret, the evidence suggests otherwise.
But in actuality, it’s only drawing Ridge closer
If you believe the latest spoilers from Soaps.com, however, upcoming episodes of The Bold and the Beautiful will feature Ridge growing closer to Brooke, not driving him away. And the outlet speculates that we’ll really see how much Ridge loves Brooke on the Friday, January 7 episode of the show.
“Ridge can sometimes be hard on those he loves, but he can also be their biggest supporter. (You just never know how the wind’s gonna blow with this guy!),” reports the outlet. “When Brooke decides to attend an AA meeting, he’s right there by her side.”
What’s not clear about their spoilers, however, is whether Ridge knows about the forbidden kiss. Will he change his mind if he finds out? We’ll just have to tune in to upcoming episodes of The Bold and the Beautiful to find out for sure.
