‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ Speculation: Eric and Katie Heading for Romance

'The Bold and the Beautiful' character Eric Forrester has a reputation of a suave ladies man. However, his current storyline had the Forrester patriarch unable to pleasure his wife Quinn Fuller. Despite the couple's current arrangement with Carter Walton, it seems Eric and Quinn are headed for divorce. But Eric won't stay single long.

Eric Forrester (John McCook) has wooed many women on The Bold and the Beautiful. Since 1987, viewers have watched Eric put his suave skills to the test. These days it seems that Eric’s days of pleasuring ladies may be over. However, he may get his spark back with the help of a new lady.

‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ fans believe Eric Forrester and Katie Logan will be a couple

Eric’s current storyline has him diagnosed with erectile dysfunction. With the once virile fashion designer unable to please his wife, Quinn Fuller (Rena Sofer), he’s asked Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) to step in. Eric tried to keep this a secret, but he confided in Katie Logan (Heather Tom). Unlike the rest of the family, Katie’s understanding when it comes to Eric’s dilemma. As a friend, Katie is supportive of Eric and wants what’s best for him. But does she want to be more than his friend?

Recently, Katie and Eric have shared a lot of scenes, which sparked speculation on Reddit that the two are going to be a couple. “Katie is always at his house at the moment, and I feel something will develop there,” wrote one fan. “Maybe Katie will be the cure to his ED!” another commenter jokingly responded.

An Eric Forrester and Katie Logan romance was teased years earlier

This isn’t the first time The Bold and the Beautiful has foreshadowed a possible romance between Katie and Eric. In 2017, Katie moved next door to Eric. The two began spending a lot of time together, with Katie popping in for visits at the Forrester mansion. Katie and Eric’s friendship enraged Quinn, and it appeared a feud would take place for Eric’s affections.

However, like many other storylines, writers scrapped this idea. But based on Eric and Katie’s recent interactions, The Bold and the Beautiful may be reigniting this plot. Of course, Eric and Katie’s romance will cause drama for Quinn and other members of the Forrester and Logan families.

What about Donna Logan and Bill Spencer?

When Eric and Quinn split, she’ll probably walk away quietly and continue her relationship with Carter. Although Quinn might not be a problem for Eric and Katie, the two will face issues from their exes. Katie’s sister Donna Logan (Jennifer Gareis) is still in love with Eric, so one wouldn’t imagine Katie betraying Donna. Yet, in the past, the Logan sisters have stolen each other’s men.

Aside from Donna, Katie’s ex-husband Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) will be a problem. Bill is trying to convince Katie to give their relationship another chance, yet she’s hesitant. A Batie reunion out of the picture clears the way for Katie and Eric to pursue a romance. Bill and Donna won’t be happy with the new couple, and it opens up the potential for lots of turmoil. The show has a gold mine in this storyline, but whether the producers pursue it remains to be seen.
