‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ Star Katherine Kelly Lang Injured During Mother’s Day Outing
The Bold and the Beautiful star Katherine Kelly Lang is experiencing more bad luck than her character Brooke Logan. Lang is nursing a broken ankle after an accident this past weekend. While the incident was scary, the actor is putting on a brave front.

Mother’s Day weekend was far from peaceful for Lang. The Bold and the Beautiful star gathered with friends for horseback riding in Malibu Creek State Park. Horseback riding is a favorite pastime for Lang, who often shares photos of her adventures on social media. However, her latest trip is one she may want to forget.
On Sunday, May 9, the actor took to Instagram to reveal she suffered an injury during a horseback riding excursion. “I hope you all had an amazing Mothers Day today. What did you do for Mothers Day? I started out on a beautiful ride yesterday with friends.”
Lang revealed the group planned to ride 40 miles for training for a 50-mile horse race coming up in June. But at the 16-mile mark, things took a drastic turn. After getting off her horse, Lang walked down a steep and rocky trail, where she tripped over a rock. Lang’s left foot was injured in the fall, but luckily a stranger came to her assistance and called 911.
Lange was taken to the hospital, where she learned how much damage was done to her foot. “The X-rays showed 3 broken bones in my ankle. Had surgery late that night and now have rods, pins, and screws in my ankle. No weight bearing on my foot for 6 weeks,” the star wrote.
Well wishes pour in for Katherine Kelly Lang
After sharing her prognosis, Lang’s fans and The Bold and the Beautiful co-stars flooded her Instagram section with well wishes.
“Omg, the pictures! Ouch!!! I’m just a text away and close to the studio if you need anything,” wrote Krista Allen.
“Sis! Rest up! Prayers for a quick recovery! Sending love!” wrote Jennifer Gareis, who plays Lang’s onscreen sister Donna Logan.
“Oh my goodness!!!! Get well soon,” commented Lawrence Saint-Victor.
“Oh no! Sending you lots of love, Kelly. Get well soon. You’ll be back in heels before you know it!” wrote one of Lang’s followers.
“So sorry to hear about your accident. Sending love and healing prayers for a quick recovery, so you can get back to doing what you love,” another fan wrote.
Her injury won’t keep her from working at ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’
After a nasty injury, one would think Lang would take time off from The Bold and the Beautiful to rest. However, Lang being the trooper she is, won’t miss work. “I will still go to work later this week and try to heal quick, so I can do all the things I love to do. I am not a happy camper when things slow me down like this,” the star wrote.
Lang’s character Brooke Logan is an integral part of the show. Brooke is currently in a big storyline as she tries to reunite with her estranged husband, Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye). There are a lot of twists coming up in their story, and fans won’t have to worry about missing Brooke.
With Lang nursing an injury, the producers and directors will make filming as comfortable as possible for her. It’s unknown if her injury will be written into the script, but let’s hope for a smooth and speedy recovery.
