‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ Star Katrina Bowden Makes Clear That She Wasn’t Fired From The Show

When it comes to soap operas — such as The Bold and the Beautiful — it’s easy, and sometimes fun, to speculate. Storyline speculation, in fact, is one of the hottest topics of conversation amongst soap fans. But when it comes to the status of actors on the show, speculation can sometimes lead to misinformation. Katrina Bowden, who plays Flo on the show, has been the subject of much speculation about her status. Recently, too, a story suggested that Bowden was fired from The Bold and the Beautiful. Today, Bowden took to Instagram to address her status with the show — and she made clear that she wasn’t going anywhere.

Recently, Bowden’s title card was removed from The Bold and the Beautiful and its intro. What’s more, the last time Bowden was seen on the show was in July 2021, when she visited Steffy shortly after she gave birth to baby Hayes.

For what it’s worth, her mother Shauna (played by Denise Richards) has appeared on the show as part of the Quinn-Carter-Eric storyline, though she hasn’t been on the canvas since 2021. Richards didn’t appear on the show regularly like Bowden did — especially once she joined the Real Housewives franchise. But there was more speculation around Bowden’s status than around Richards’.

This caused speculation that she’d been fired

Naturally, the speculation around Bowden was that she’d been fired from The Bold and the Beautiful. And, recently, when she took to Instagram to share a new photo of herself, fans began leaving comments asking about her status on the show. Had she really been fired? Or was she just taking an extended break?

“Katrina could you tell us if the rumors that you were fired from [The Bold and the Beautiful] are true?” asked one fan, according to SoapHub. “This is said because apparently, your name is no longer in the credits. I hope you can tell us how things really are because we miss you…”

Bowden, to her credit, immediately put her concerns to rest. And the good news is, she’s not going anywhere.

But Bowden made clear that she wasn’t going anywhere

“I don’t know exactly when I’ll be back on,” she replied in an Instagram comment. “Was shooting other projects, but hopefully soon❤️ miss all of my bb fam!” Fans of the actor know that she’s been filming Dead Wrong, and that the project was soon wrapping up.

“Thanks for the answer,” replied her fan. “We hope so too. I can’t wait for it to happen and also to know when your new movie Dead Wrong will be released.” Adds @iamdar55: “We need to see you back on B&B soon. Both you and Darin [Brooks, Wyatt].”

And there you have it, The Bold and the Beautiful fans — Katrina Bowden isn’t going anywhere. And that’s good news for the Flo storyline, which seems to be just getting started!
