‘The Bold and the Beautiful’: Thorsten Kaye Says Brooke and Taylor Situation Is Complicated

‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ star Thorsten Kaye calls Ridge Forrester’s love life complicated
Drama is a recurring issue in Ridge’s love life on The Bold and the Beautiful. For the past three decades, he’s been going back and forth between Brooke and Taylor. Yet, as fans know, when Ridge chooses one woman, something comes along to send him back to the other woman.
In a recent interview with Soap Opera Digest, Kaye talked about his character’s waffling behavior. “What can I say? It’s complicated. When it comes to Taylor and Brooke, anyone you’ve had kids with and spent time with and have loved at one point, that door is never closed completely. We’ll have to see what happens,” he explained.
The current status of their love triangle
Once again, The Bold and the Beautiful writers have Ridge torn between the two women. After Ridge learned about Brooke’s drunken kiss with Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan), he walked out on his wife. While he was hoping to save their marriage, that was diminished when he realized Brooke still had feelings for Deacon.
Not too long after leaving Brooke, Ridge went straight for Taylor. She’s become his confidante as he opens up about his marital problems. Yet, after a talk with Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood), Ridge realizes where he needs to be.
Ridge told Taylor he wanted to come home before sharing a steaming kiss with his ex-wife. So it looks like Tridge is reuniting while Bridge is over.
Their situation is about to get more dramatic
The Bold and the Beautiful fans know the Brooke, Ridge, and Taylor love triangle isn’t over. While Ridge is adamant about moving on with Taylor, deep down, he’ll always care about Brooke. Speaking of Brooke, she’s not going to give up on Ridge so quickly and is ready to fight for him.
Unbeknownst to the trio, a piece of critical information will alter their lives. Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) learned that Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) switched Brooke’s nonalcoholic champagne, which led to her and Deacon’s betrayal. With another person knowing Sheila’s secret, it’s only a matter of time before it gets out.
Whether Thomas reveals the truth or someone else does remains to be seen. But the secret is coming out, and it’ll change the Brooke, Ridge, and Taylor situation. Upon learning about Sheila’s involvement, Ridge may believe Brooke was a victim and go back to her.
Yet, the couple will still have to deal with the Deacon, which may be the factor in getting Ridge to stay with Taylor.
