Nia Moore says Jordan Wiseley was her ‘only motivation’ to return to ‘The Challenge’

Viewers last saw Nia Moore, 33, competing in The Challenge: Battle of the Exes 2, which concluded seven years ago. In an April 2022 interview with YouTuber Mike Bloom, she noted the time that has passed and admitted she “put the chapter” behind her.

Although she was “thankful” for her time on reality television, she didn’t believe she would go back to the competition series. According to Nia, she was “at peace” with the new cast and initially declined the offer to return.

However, she opened up to the idea after speaking with rival-turned-friend and three-time champ Jordan Wiseley, who will also compete in All Stars 3.

She claimed she “only did” the show due to his participation as they met and discussed the upcoming return. Calling him her “only motivation,” Nia pointed out that she didn’t know many other cast members and wasn’t in as good of shape.

Nia initially declined the invitation to return for ‘The Challenge: All Stars 3’

Additionally, she noted she’s a “different person” than before and comes across as more “awkward” in All Stars 3.

After initially declining the invitation to return, The Real World star claims a producer encouraged her to watch the first season as it’s “not the same environment” as the main show.

Due to the new setup, and presence of two-time champ Wes Bergmann and Jordan, she considered it a “safe space” and wanted to return. She officially agreed to make her comeback after getting the “blessing” from her company.

Nia last appeared on Battle of the Exes 2 alongside Leroy Garrett. The pair competed well together as they won three eliminations before advancing to the finals. However, Nia inappropriately grabbed Jordan and called him an “f—-t,” resulting in her immediate removal.

Nia denies rumors she was ‘banned’ from ‘The Challenge’

Many viewers thought she was banned from the series following the disqualification, but she confirmed the producers called her for the following season, Battle of the Bloodlines.

Initially, the reality star planned to bring her younger sister but chose to ask someone to pose as her cousin instead. Nia admitted she believes they could’ve performed well together but felt she would’ve gotten too protective over her sister.

She also didn’t consider the environment “conducive,” especially after her experiences. Although the reality star denied being banned from the series, she admitted she “should’ve been” due to her behavior on Battle of the Exes 2.

Additionally, Nia claimed she didn’t think she deserved a chance to compete on The Challenge following her several fights on The Real World: Portland.
