‘The Challenge’: Amanda Garcia Reportedly Ends Things With Fessy Shafaat Following Viral Video

After taking a four-season break, veteran Amanda Garcia returned for season 37 of The Challenge and quickly hit it off with two-time finalist Fessy Shafaat.
During the debut episode, the couple attempted to hide their budding romance as she didn’t want to upset her close friend Nelson Thomas, who had unresolved drama with Fessy.
She opened up about their relationship following the premiere during an appearance on Aftermath, where she insisted she used the two-time finalist as a strategy.
A couple of days later, Amanda joined co-star Ashley Mitchell’s Instagram Live and confirmed her stance, claiming she “humped him and dumped him.” The veteran also referred to him as an “appetizer” that’s passed around, a “reality TV boy,” and “messy,” which isn’t what she claimed she wanted at the time.

In an Instagram Live, Amanda exposed Fessy’s alleged secret romances he had in The Challenge house. Even so, they remained in touch and went on vacation to Mexico together a couple of weeks later.
While the two didn’t initially reveal they were there with each other, fans noticed similarities between pictures they uploaded to social media. For example, she posted a photo with a male from the neck down, cutting her food at dinner.
She captioned it, “then, bae chops it up for me. I’m spoiled.” Although she didn’t include his face or tag him, many viewers noticed the person closely resembled Fessy. He confirmed it a few days later at the end of their vacation by posting several pictures of their time together to his Instagram feed.
He captioned it, “It’s something about you, but I really can’t explain it.” Several co-stars congratulated the two, including Wes Bergmann, Kam Williams, Tori Deal, Amber Borzotra, Kyle Christie, and Kaycee Clark.
She seemingly ends things with Fessy after compromising video
Despite the post, the couple never confirmed their relationship status, although it’s assumed they’re exclusive. Therefore, a fan took a video of Fessy dancing with a female at a bar and posted it online, believing he cheated. In the 15 second clip, the two-time finalist dances with someone and has his hands around her waist before holding her hand at one point.
Someone tagged Amanda in the comments, wondering her thoughts, and the veteran made them known. She replied to the user, “he’s gonna regret it,” with the “100” emoji. The Challenge star then responded to the video publicly, writing, “For all of you tagging me in the video and pictures; I’ve seen it.”
She went on to call him a “f——-” trash bag” and claimed she’s “done with it.” The veteran continued, “Sacrificing a real one with a temporary h– at the bar.” Finally, Amanda claimed she planned to cancel their upcoming trips to visit each other in their hometowns. In another tweet, she noted she didn’t “need pity” from anyone, writing, “I gave someone a chance who didn’t deserve it. It ain’t my loss; it’s his.”
Additionally, she posted photos of Fessy with the female, calling him a “clown” as she claims he texted and called her several times that night. His only response so far has come in the form of a vague tweet, “I just want a woman to love me.” The Challenge 37 airs Wednesdays at 8/7 Central on MTV.
