Those who’ve kept up with MTV’s The Challenge know all about Tori Deal and Jordan Wiseley’s relationship. The power couple make a great team, as they’re both smart and athletic. And they even first got romantic after being allies on a season together.

Unfortunately, after three years together, they decided to call off their engagement. So, are they competing together on season 36, Double Agents?

Tori Deal and Jordan Wiseley from MTV’s ‘The Challenge’ called off their engagement

Deal and Wiseley infamously got engaged on War of the Worlds 2. After Wiseley won an elimination round against his fellow competitor, he got down on one knee and asked for Deal’s hand in marriage. While she was shocked the proposal was happening, she said yes — and most of the other competitors were equally delighted to be there for the happy moment.

Unfortunately, their romance didn’t last. On Nov. 27, she posted a photo of her and Wiseley to Instagram with an explanation of their breakup.

“I thought I knew love when Jordan and I were together, but there is a different kind of love that two people feel when they decide it’s time to experience life apart,” she wrote. “Even though Jordan and I are going to be moving forward in separate ways, our love, support, and connection with one another only grows stronger and deeper.”

Wiseley created a post as well. “Unfortunately, we weren’t able to escape the pressures that come with being in a very public relationship and despite any rumors that have been started, our separation is not because of any bs ‘scandal,’ he wrote. “We are just two people who love each other deeply but are both battling with our own struggles and happiness.”

Not only did Wiseley and Deal get engaged on the show, but that’s also where their romance started. Deal was dating Derrick Henry on Dirty XXX, but after he was sent home early, Wiseley, a veteran, showed Deal the ropes. The two developed a strong friendship, and Wiseley made it known he wanted to run the final with Deal by his side.

Ultimately, Deal broke up with Henry after spending ample time with Wiseley on the show.

“I knew I loved him when we were flying to the Dirty XXX final,” Deal told MTV News. “It was funny because we were watching Beauty and the Beast on the plane with the song [that goes], ‘There must be something I hadn’t seen before.’ And I was thinking, ‘This is so my life with him right now.’ Since then, it spiraled to what it is now.”

So, did Deal and Wiseley compete together on Double Agents prior to their breakup? It could’ve been a possibility, as the season features male/female pairings. But it doesn’t look like fans will see the now-exes compete together one final time.

Double Agents features 30 contestants, and plenty are familiar. Deal is back in the game and ready to redeem herself after her season 35 loss. But Wiseley is sitting this one out — and it could have something to do with past drama from The Real World. When Wiseley got his MTV start on The Real World: Portland, he made racially-charged comments to another competitor that are resurfacing now. Rumors now suggest Wiseley is suspended from The Challenge for a few seasons.

We’ll have to wait and see if Wiseley returns to the show at some point. Perhaps the exes will compete as friends in future seasons.
