‘The Challenge’: Ashley Mitchell Alludes to Pregnancy on Instagram With Bizarre Misleading Post
MTV’s The Challenge fans are quite familiar with Ashley Mitchell. Mitchell participated in The Challenge Season 37 before production removed her for reasons they didn’t delve into on the show. Now, fans want to know if she’ll return to join The Challenge Season 38 cast. So far, she’s remained mum on her future with the series. But a recent post prompted pregnancy speculation, and some fans are upset by the misleading content.

MTV’s The Challenge star Ashley Mitchell is known for her incredible record over the years. She won Invasion of the Champions and Final Reckoning, and she continues to prove herself as an asset to her alliances. While she was doing well on The Challenge Season 37 and even seemed slated to possibly win the season, she made a major misstep with another competitor. After a verbal altercation with Josh Martinez, production sent her packing with no explanation on the show.
Mitchell continues to post often on her Twitter and Instagram. Her Instagram shows her ventures outside of the show after her exit from Spies, Lies, and Allies. But on Feb. 2, 2022, she posted ultrasound photos showing a pregnancy. The photos include her name on them as well as the date Jan. 31, 2022.
“SO EXCITED TO SHARE THE NEWS,” she captioned the post with a heart emoji. The post also suggests fans should click the link in her bio.
Fans of the show find the post misleading and concerning
The link in Ashley Mitchell’s bio goes to an article from Celebuzz. The article isn’t about Mitchell at all. Instead, the headline reads, “Kourtney Kardashian Responds to Pregnancy Rumors.”
MTV’s The Challenge fans assume Mitchell posted the ultrasound baby photos to get fans to click on the link, which ultimately earns her money.
“Someone else told me that this company often pays influencers to post linking to their site as clickbait,” a Reddit user posted. “So, Ashley ‘Millionaire’ Mitchell sold out to clickbait for a fake pregnancy. I believe it. Especially since she turned commenting off.”
“Yeah considering the link, I assumed just fake?” another Reddit user wrote. “Seemed strange.”
Ugh, a lot of the ex-Real Housewives and Teen Moms do these clickbait articles,” another fan wrote. “Cringeworthy.”
Did Ashley Mitchell leave ‘The Challenge’ for good?
Does Ashley Mitchell’s misleading online content mean she won’t return for The Challenge Season 38? In the past, MTV’s made statements when they permanently ban some Challenge contestants from returning. While Mitchell’s behavior got her removed from The Challenge Season 37, it didn’t seem like she would leave the show forever, as MTV didn’t make any official announcement of the sort. Additionally, she has a huge fan base who would love to see her return.
MTV hasn’t announced The Challenge Season 38 details, either. But spoiler accounts note the season will begin filming in March 2022, which means casting calls are likely happening now. Other veteran players, like Aneesa Ferreira, Tori Deal, and Devin Walker, went on vacation together. This has fans wondering if they’re crafting an early alliance for season 38. Either way, Mitchell didn’t attend the vacation — and she hasn’t posted about season 38. We’ll have to wait and see if she joins.
