‘The Challenge’: Cara Maria Sorbello Admitted She No Longer Uses ‘Botox and Fillers’
If there’s one woman who’s the face of MTV’s The Challenge, it’s Cara Maria Sorbello. Sorbello’s known for her quirky personality, and that put her on the outs of the major Challenge social circles for years. But thanks to her physical strength and mental prowess, she’s proven to be a serious threat to win each season she competes in.
While The Challenge dominated Sorbello’s whole world for years, she’s now taking a step back. And she’s posting some new content to her Instagram that’s unexpected. She’s still getting candid with her followers, though. And she admitted to an Instagram follower that she had some work done in the past, but she no longer needs it to feel confident.
Cara Maria Sorbello is posting less personal content to Instagram
From Sorbello’s Challenge wins to her personal relationships, she’s put her whole life on display for all to see. We know she had a serious romantic past with Challenge beast Abram Boise. And now, she’s fallen for fellow competitor Paulie Calafiore, though their relationship hit some serious bumps along the way.
Sorbello has a loyal fanbase no matter what drama’s happening in her life. But she also has plenty of critics — and it seems she may be over airing her personal problems so publicly. While she used to post all about her relationship to Instagram, she noted more recently that she’s making her social media a lot less personal. And it seems Calafiore is doing the same.
“Date, in private. Love, in private, Be happy, in private,” a text post on her Instagram Story read. “That way you can … Take your losses, in private, maintain, in private, rebuild yourself, in private.”
She’s gotten candid about getting work done in the past
Sorbello’s posting a ton about her workouts and eating plans to Instagram in 2020. But back in 2019, she also posted about some of the work she got done on her face. On August 10, 2019, she posted several before and after photos showing how different she looks with lip fillers and botox, though she also noted that she would never go “under a knife,” so this is as extreme as she’s willing to get.
Sorbello also added a video of her talking to a trained professional about a hydrafacial to help remove impurities and exfoliate the skin. Then, the professional recommended a facial laser treatment to help treat melasma, a pigmentation disorder Sorbello has talked about dealing with in the past. And this was then followed by a number of other treatments to give the skin a “radiant appearance.”
On the same post, Sorbello mentioned she received under-eye filler at another office that didn’t go so well. “Ive had a recommended under eye filler from another NYC office which resulted in ugly rolls under my eyes that took months to go down,” she wrote.
Sorbello just got real with a follower about her body
While Sorbello is all about posting her workout routines and diet to the ‘gram now, she included a post about her body on Feb. 23.
“Heres a non facetuned / non surgically created bum, waist, and jawline to grace your pages. I. Love. My. Body,” Sorbello captioned the post of her in a swimsuit. “And whatever choose to keep or change on yours so that you can feel most confident is your right.”
To that, a follower commented, “Yeah but you get a whole bunch of stuff done to your face and lips?”
And Sorbello clapped back with some truth. “Botox and filler’s dissipate with time. And they have. So here I am. Back to square one.”
We’re not sure if Sorbello’s done with cosmetic procedures permanently. But she seems happy and confident without getting any work done. It looks like taking a break from The Challenge is giving her a newfound sense of pride!
