‘The Challenge’: Cara Maria Sorbello and Paulie Calafiore Are Traveling to The Bahamas Together
MTV’s The Challenge has been on television for decades, and viewers are likely to recognize many of the same contestants over the years. One polarizing player who’s known for her quirky personality and Challenge wins is Cara Maria Sorbello. While she’s a force to be reckoned with during eliminations, it’s now Sorbello’s relationship with fellow competitor Paulie Calafiore that has all eyes on her.
Sorbello and Calafiore appeared to be closer than ever during War of the Worlds 2, but their Instagrams are giving mixed signals. While they rarely post about each other anymore, they also haven’t announced a breakup. And now, they’re both posting about going on a trip to The Bahamas — but neither of them talked about going on the trip with each other.
Cara Maria Sorbello and Paulie Calafiore haven’t posted any photos of each other to Instagram in months
Given what we’ve seen on The Challenge, Sorbello and Calafiore appear to have a healthy relationship now. But it wasn’t always easy. While they first got together during The Challenge: Final Reckoning in 2018, it was later revealed that Calafiore had a girlfriend at the time. Between his girlfriend, Danielle Maltby, coming forward to the press, and Sorbello being stuck in the middle, Sorbello and Calafiore briefly broke up.
We know Sorbello and Calafiore got back together, of course. And while they were still in the honeymoon stage, they frequently posted photos of each other to Instagram and videos of each other to their Instagram Stories.
We haven’t seen photos of Sorbello and Calafiore together on Instagram since November 2019, however. On Nov. 13, Sorbello posted photos of the two of them to celebrate Calafiore’s birthday. And Calafiore’s last post featuring Sorbello was from Halloween and posted on Nov. 6.
Fans wonder if they’re still together
Since Sorbello and Calafiore used to include each other in much of their social media activity, fans asked both of them about the status of their relationship. And it’s unclear where the couple stands now.
On Sorbello’s Instagram post, a fan asked, “i will say that i am more confused on you two then i was previously. it’s pretty clear ya’ll have stepped back out of the public eye but i truly can’t tell if you are together or no.”
To that, Sorbello commented back that she’s “not in an open relationship.” And when another fan questioned Sorbello’s relationship status, she gave another ambiguous answer. “We are public figures. Of course people wanna know. We used to put a lot of sweet cute things out there. I miss that too. Its ok. All love girl,” the Challenge star wrote.
They both posted evidence to Instagram that they’re going to The Bahamas
Fans would love to know whether Calafiore and Sorbello are still together. And while they’re still not posting anything about each other in their Instagram posts, it appears they’re both taking a trip to The Bahamas.
“I’m going right to The Bahamas,” Calafiore shared on his Instagram Story on Jan. 21. “And thank God I’ve been putting in that work in order to look somewhat decent in The Bahamas.” In a later part of his Instagram Story, he posted a video of himself going through the Delta Sky Club lounge gate.
As for Sorbello, she’s also posting about her travels to her Instagram Story. “Thank you Delta Skylounge,” she captioned a photo of her drinking what appears to be an alcoholic beverage. And she then added another photo of her in her plane seat with the caption, “Bahamas. Just me and my backpack.”
It’s clear Calafiore and Sorbello are traveling to the same location. But they haven’t shown each other at all in their Instagram Stories, which seems odd. Perhaps they’re trying to keep their relationship out of social media, but inquiring fans want to know what the deal is. Hopefully, we’ll hear more about their trip soon.
