‘The Challenge’: Cara Maria Sorbello Dealt With Unfaithfulness From Both Boyfriends She Met on the Show
Cara Maria Sorbello is one of the most well-known winners of MTV’s The Challenge. Unfortunately, it seems her personal life has become just as infamous as her wins. While she’s currently dating Paulie Calafiore, they had a rough start to their romance. And her boyfriend prior to Calafiore, Abram Boise, also wasn’t faithful to Sorbello. Here’s what’s gone on.
Cara Maria Sorbello from ‘The Challenge’ said Abram Boise cheated during their relationship
Sorbello met Boise while competing on The Challenge: Cutthroat back in 2010 — and the two were on and off up until 2016. While Sorbello and Boise clearly had a lot of love for each other, their most tumultuous moments were caught on camera. And it seems there may have been some cheating on both sides.
Sorbello spoke to Ifelicious about her relationship with Boise. And she noted that prior to her returning home from The Challenge: Rivals, he was already hooking up with other women.
“He’s always honest with me like he doesn’t hide and he doesn’t lie about it,” Sorbello noted. “That’s one good thing, but he admitted to sleeping with one girl and attempting to hook up with another two more girls or something before I came home [from Rivals].”
Sorbello hasn’t been completely innocent, either. In 2016, she kissed contestant Thomas Buell while on Battle of the Bloodlines, which was the beginning of the end of her relationship with Boise.
Sorbello’s current boyfriend, Paulie Calafiore, was also dishonest with her and his ex-girlfriend
Sorbello had an instant connection with Calafiore when she met him on The Challenge: Final Reckoning. While Calafiore had a girlfriend, Danielle Maltby, at the time, he cheated on her in order to pursue Sorbello. Unfortunately, Calafiore later appeared to be speaking to both Maltby and Sorbello as if he was dating them both. This resulted in a major breakup between Sorbello and Calafiore.
“He told me he needed to maintain a friendship with Danielle because she was a good human and in a bad place. I easily let him do that,” Sorbello told People. “I never knew about Mexico, Labor Day, or California where he met with her the day before we flew for this recent Challenge. … He kept telling me he loved me and that she was lying about everything. … However, I couldn’t move forward because there was still no true honesty.”
Sorbello then noted she felt guilty that “she took equal part in the pain Danielle had to live through.” And she added that she’d be working on herself in the future so she doesn’t make more grave mistakes.
Several ‘Challenge’ players want Sorbello to ditch Calafiore
While Sorbello told People she’d be moving forward without Calafiore by her side, they were able to reconcile. Now, they’re still together well into 2020. But those who know Sorbello from The Challenge want her to ditch Calafiore, as they suspect he’s bad news.
“He’s dating Cara, I’ve heard some bad things about how they started their relationship,” Sorbello’s ex-friend Laurel Stucky told PeopleTV. “So, I mean, that’s questionable.” Stucky then noted she’s heard “rumors that he’s dating Cara just to get his name out there because he’s a fan of the show. But this is all hearsay.”
Johnny “Bananas” Devenanzio also can’t stand Calafiore. “Cara Maria found herself in an unfortunate position with a very sociopathic, narcissistic human being, and I feel bad for her,” Devananzio explained to HollywoodLife. “I just hope one of these days she comes to her senses and realizes that everything this guy is doing is self-centered and trying to capitalize off her notoriety and her fame.”
No matter what everyone says, Sorbello will continue doing her own thing. And we’re hoping she’s happy with how her relationships are going despite what everyone else says!
