Fans of MTV’s The Challenge adored The Challenge: All Stars. Mark Long brought fan-favorite competitors from years past together to compete for $500,000, and they seemed to have a blast. Recently, Mark celebrated his 50th birthday with a huge party. While many Challenge competitors accepted the invite, Cara Maria Sorbello noted on her Instagram she never received one.

Mark Long invited a number of MTV’s ‘The Challenge’ contestants to his birthday party

Mark did incredibly well on The Challenge: All Stars, and the show reconnected him with plenty of his reality TV peers. He recently turned 50 years old and decided to have a huge party in Los Angeles to celebrate. Ayiiia Elizarrarás, a contestant from The Real World, posted photos and videos of the event to her Instagram Stories.

“I’m so excited to be a part of Mark’s 50th birthday,” she said. “I’m excited. It’s in the Hills, we’re in L.A.”

In her Instagram Stories alone, she featured Ruthie Alcaide, Derrick Kosinski, Syrus Yarbrough, KellyAnne Judd, Aneesa Ferreira, Nehemiah Clark, Jonna Mannion, and Yes Duffy, the winner of All Stars. Johnny “Bananas” Devenanzio also made an appearance. While he has yet to compete on All Stars, it’s clear he has a great relationship with Mark. When he handed over his gifts to Mark, Mark told him, “I love you.”

While many fan favorites from MTV’s The Challenge attended Mark’s birthday party, not everyone got the invite. Cara Maria is an ultra-polarizing player from the show. While she’s won multiple seasons, many of her fellow cast members noted she’s unpleasant to be around.

Cara Maria’s last season was War of the Worlds II in 2019. Jordan Wiseley, an enemy of Cara’s, got down on one knee and proposed to Tori Deal on the show — and Cara Maria made it known she wasn’t happy for the couple. This certainly didn’t earn her many friends.

Now, it seems she’s not getting invites to all of the fun Challenge events her peers create. A fan asked her via Instagram why she didn’t attend Mark’s birthday party. “Oh, that’s what you guys are talking about,” she stated in a video posted to her Instagram Stories. “Well, I guess my invite got lost in the mail because nobody told me anything about it. But, I hope Mark had a freakin’ awesome birthday. Happy birthday, Mark!”

Will Cara Maria come back to MTV’s The Challenge anytime soon? It sounds like she and boyfriend Paulie Calafiore took a much-needed break from the show and are ready to jump back in. She’s reportedly not cast for season 37, but she stated her “phone is on” in case production wants to give her a call.

As for Paulie, he’s also hopeful he’ll come back strong. But it doesn’t look like MTV’s casting him, either. “CT won 0 challenges in 8 years (give or take). He now has 4,” Paulie tweeted on April 21, 2021. “I’ve been keeping myself busy in my time off. I don’t plan on ever losing again and that’s not me being cocky, that’s just me learning from my losses and being humbled. It’s very hard to keep me from making a final.”

We’ll have to wait and see if Cara and Paulie get the callback from MTV. For now, we’re not expecting them back for season 37 or the next season of All Stars.
