‘The Challenge’: CT Tamburello Confirms His Relationship Status Months After Admitting He Had Separated From His Wife
The Challenge: Spies, Lies, and Allies has officially begun, and CT Tamburello is looking for back-to-back wins. The 41-year-old took home the $1 million prize in season 36, Double Agents, along with Amber Borzotra. This time, he started the season paired up with Berna Canbeldek from Survivor Turkey. But that will likely change as the season progresses.
No matter who his partner is, though, CT isn’t looking for a hookup like others in the house. After announcing his separation on Double Agents, CT has just given fans an update on his relationship status while competing on Spies, Lies, and Allies.
‘The Challenge’ star got married in 2018
After the death of his longtime love Diem Brown in 2014, CT quietly started a relationship with model Lili Solares. The Challenge GOAT kept his romance a secret for years, so it wasn’t until his son was born in 2017 that fans found out he was taken.
In May 2018, CT and Lili tied the knot in front of family and friends. MTV cameras were there for the big day and turned it into the special The Challenge: CT’s Getting Married. But just two years later — at the beginning of the Double Agents season — CT told fans that he and Lili had separated.
“Marriage was not going well. We’re separated,” he said in a season 36 preview clip. “I feel like I’ve been running from problems for a long time, and I feel like they finally caught up with me. And I couldn’t lie to myself anymore.”

CT entered season 36 with a “dad bod” that he had been rocking for a while. But being a bit out of shape didn’t keep him from winning. Instead, competing on Double Agents made him realize he needed to take better care of himself as he ages.
After filming wrapped, CT started to lift, stretch, and eat well. So when he showed up for the reunion, it was obvious he had slimmed down. Fans also noticed that wasn’t wearing his wedding ring.

Going into the Spies, Lies, and Allies season, it was clear from the promos that a lot of hook-ups were coming. But CT wasn’t having any part of it. Instead, he’s looking for another win. He also gave fans an update about his marriage on Instagram, making it clear that and Lili were able to make it through their rough patch.
CT posted a pic that featured him kissing Lili on the cheek. In the caption he wrote, “Got the nerve to say I’m playin’ w her feelings… #sayiwontpostapic #fullshelfieshendshun #minidatenight #doesntcount #photodunk #muyestmucho.”
Lili Solares shot down the divorce rumors
CT also popped up on Lili’s Instagram recently when he turned 41 on July 16. She posted a pic of her and CT cuddling together, with a heart on fire emoji in the caption. When one fan commented that they thought CT was divorced, Lili replied, “No, he’s not.”
Another fan added that Lili and CT looked “soooo happy,” and she replied, “we are.” Lili kept responding to fan comments to make it clear that she and CT were indeed still a couple. When one fan wrote “Back together again!!! Love this couple,” Lili replied, “we never left.”
‘The Challenge’ star made some ‘lifestyle changes’ after season 36
Neither CT nor Lili have spoken publicly about their separation or reconciliation. But it’s clear they are still together, which is a big change from last season. Another big change is that the “dad bod” is gone for good.
“I got my a– back in shape. I figured if I don’t have the element of surprise anymore with the dad bod, I might as well just come in hot,” CT said.
The Challenge champ has slimmed down even more since the season 36 reunion and fans are here for it. In the comments of his post with Lili, one fan wrote, “Hot CT is back.”
