We never know what to expect with every new season of The Challenge. Veteran players are getting ready for their great return for Season 35, Total Madness, and the rookies are also gearing up to try their hand at winning the big money. So far, it looks like the upcoming season is going to be the most difficult yet. But we know the eliminations and finals are nothing compared to the social game played within the Challenge household.

During Season 34, War of the Worlds 2, Dee Nguyen developed a close relationship with fellow player Rogan O’Connor. Unfortunately, O’Connor was totally playing her to keep her on his alliance. And now, Nguyen is taking to Instagram to publicly drag him as he gets ready to enter the gauntlet once again with the new season.

Rogan O’Connor said he only dated Dee Nguyen on ‘The Challenge’ because he was bored

Those who were rooting for Nguyen during War of the Worlds 2 had a tough time watching her interact with O’Connor. The couple developed a serious attraction to one another right from the start, and Nguyen admitted she was falling in love with O’Connor to the producers. Unfortunately, the love appeared to be one-sided. While he may have liked Nguyen, O’Connor did what was best for his game — and that meant using his girlfriend as a number for his alliance and threatening to send her into an elimination in the end.

Even worse, O’Connor mentioned he was simply using Nguyen to fellow competitor Paulie Calafiore.

“What’s going on with you and Dee?” Calafiore asked.

“I’m bored. Bro, I just come out of like, a three-and-a-half-year relationship,” O’Connor answered. “So I come here to have fun. I was like, I’m a come here, I’m single. I’m a do bits here, I’m a do bits there.”

They’re both returning on ‘Total Madness’

The truth came out during the War of the Worlds 2 reunion. “I’m loyal to a fault, and I rode with you guys, and to see you guys talk about me behind my back like that, that f***ing sucks,” Nguyen told O’Connor after watching clips of his unsavory commentary. But at the end of the reunion, it seems Nguyen was able to forgive O’Connor. She mentioned they remained friends and still supports him.

So, will their alliance extend into Season 35? We’re curious to find out, as both Nguyen and O’Connor are cast for Total Madness. MTV posted their photos on the official Instagram, indicating they’re making their return among the other Challenge champs.

“Good looking bunch,” Nguyen commented on the post with a fire and heart-eyed emoji.

Nguyen just dragged O’Connor on Instagram

Nguyen may have been cordial to O’Connor at the end of War of the Worlds 2. But it looks like she may still hold some animosity for how he treated her on the show.

On March 10, MTV’s Instagram posted a video of O’Connor and gave him the “Most Improved Player” award. “I really went from zero to hero. And I’d just like to thank absolutely nobody. It was all me. I would like to thank everyone that made fun of me after Vendettas, ’cause it made me train extra hard,” O’Connor explained in the video.

To that, Nguyen commented, “Thank u next.” And the comment got over 200 likes.

One follower commented in response to Nguyen, “you are the most improved queeeen.”

Another supporter wrote, “The most improved player would have to be Dee..IN MY OPINION.”

We’re sure both Nguyen and O’Connor are hoping for another Challenge win under their belt after last season. And we’re hoping Nguyen will be more guarded with her heart this time around no matter how O’Connor tries to sway her.
