‘The Challenge’: How Many Times Has CT Tamburello Been Kicked Off?
CT Tamburello is a fan favorite from MTV’s The Challenge. He first got his start on The Real World and then moved on to the reality competition series, and fans hope he’s here to stay. Unfortunately, it looks like an altercation between him and Fessy Shafaat could derail him on Double Agents. And it’s certainly not the first time he’s been caught up in a physical brawl. Here’s how many times he’s been kicked off the show in the past.
CT Tamburello from MTV’s ‘The Challenge’ has a history of physical altercations
CT is a force to be reckoned with on MTV’s The Challenge. While many know him for his lovable, father-like attitude on the show nowadays, he had a much different demeanor when first starting out. In the past, it wasn’t uncommon to see CT get into physical fights on the show that would cause production to disqualify him from remaining in the competition.
So, how many times has production removed CT from the game for violence? In total, he’s competed on 21 seasons of The Challenge. According to The Challenge Fandom page, he was removed during The Inferno III and The Duel II, so two seasons total.
He’s had plenty of fights that didn’t get him removed from the game, too. During Rivals, he and veteran champion Cara Maria Sorbello got into it verbally, which resulted in Cara getting pushed by another contestant. Johnny “Bananas” Devenanzio then talked to Cara afterward, establishing their sibling-like relationship in the game.
How old is CT? What does he think of his past mistakes?
Everyone makes plenty of mistakes when they’re young, and the same applies to CT. Thankfully, he seems to have grown quite a lot over the years. Today, he’s 40 years old, and he tends to stay out of the drama whenever possible.
CT also has his son to consider when he goes on reality TV. He can’t afford to head out for MTV’s The Challenge without doing his best to win. With that in mind, he seems more focused and driven to do well, and his efforts have proven fruitful. He’s won a number of seasons and continues to prove he has a lot more drive left before he calls it quits completely.
As for his past, CT can’t stand to look at the type of player he used to be. “Look at this cocky prick walking around with his beanie cap on, look at that broccoli head,” he said of himself while watching back old footage. “No wonder why I was getting into so many fights, like, I want to punch this kid.”
How many times has CT won ‘The Challenge’?
While CT’s been kicked off of MTV’s The Challenge in the past, he’s also made it to the end quite a few times. He won Rivals II, Invasion of the Champions, Champs vs Stars, and War of the Worlds II. Given his current trajectory on Double Agents, it looks like CT could be headed for another win this season.
Many fans might hope for CT to make an appearance on The Challenge: All Stars, but it doesn’t look like he’ll be there this season. The only two contestants from Double Agents who are in All Stars are Darrell Taylor and Aneesa Ferreira.
We’re looking forward to watching CT on the rest of Double Agents — and we’re hoping he doesn’t get disqualified for any fighting going forward.
