MTV’s The Challenge Season 37 is quickly coming to a close, as the final began airing on Dec. 8, 2021. The veterans dominated the competition for nearly the entire season, sending rookie player after rookie player home. Now, a number of veterans — including Tori Deal — made it to the final. But Tori said there was one puzzle in the final that production had to help the contestants with, as no one could figure it out on their own.

MTV’s ‘The Challenge’ Season 37 final started with swimming, running, and plenty of puzzles

The Challenge Season 37 took a number of twists and turns throughout the season. At the start of the season, one international player paired up with one U.S. player to work in teams of two. Once the teams of two were disbanded, players worked in “Cells,” or groups of several players. Finally, after a wild double elimination where Tori Deal beat Amanda Garcia and Devin Walker beat Emanuel Neagu, the players prepared to head to the final.

The Challenge finals are never easy, and Spies, Lies, and Allies is no different. For the men, Kyle Christie, CT Tamburello, Nelson Thomas, and Devin made it to the final. For the women, Kaycee Clark, Nany González, Emy Alupei, and Tori made it.

The final began with a short running leg to the first puzzle. Then, the competitors got into a helicopter that took them over a large body of water. They jumped into the water and swam to their next checkpoint. The competitors then ran up an ultra-steep and rocky hill to yet another puzzle. Finally, the players then ran to join teams once more. Tori, CT, Emy, and Devin became one team, and Nelson, Nany, Kaycee, and Kyle became another.

Tori Deal said production had to help the players with one of the puzzles in the final

The Challenge Season 37 final requires physical endurance, mental fortitude, and now, fantastic teamwork to get to the end. Tori Deal spoke on MTV’s Official Challenge Podcast with host T.J. Lavin about one of the first puzzles the finalists had to complete. According to Tori, the wire puzzle took an extraordinary amount of time for several players to finish.

“Devin finishes the puzzle, I’m gonna say, in 10 minutes,” Tori began. “The next person to finish the puzzle was CT, probably in 15 minutes. The next person to finish the puzzle was me in 45 minutes. There was that much of a time gap between me and CT and Devin. Devin crushed that puzzle. Forty-five minutes between me and first place.”

“We were actually taking so long that production came out and added pieces into our puzzle boards because none of us could figure it out,” Tori noted of all the players except for Devin and CT. “They had to help us, swear to God. But I did the first puzzle really fast.”

So, who are The Challenge Season 37 winners? According to The Challenge Season 37 elimination spoilers from Reddit, CT Tamburello takes the win for the men, and Kaycee Clark takes the win for the women.

While it looks like Tori Deal has an early lead over the other female players, she loses it along the way. Kaycee is known as one of the biggest physical threats in the competition, so it’s likely she beats Tori in a physical portion of the final at some point. As for CT, he and Devin are known as the puzzle masters in the game, so it may have come down to something physical for them as well.

The Challenge Season 37 airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. EST on MTV.
