‘The Challenge’ Season 37: Trailer Gives Clue a Major Shock Happens Night 1
Fans of MTV’s The Challenge can’t wait to see what season 37 has in store. According to the new official trailer, the season is titled Spies, Lies, and Allies, and we’ll see plenty of new and old faces join the cast. The trailer gives a number of other clues regarding what’s to come, too. And it looks like contestants receive shocking news on the first night.

MTV’s ‘The Challenge’ Season 37 trailer is finally here
MTV’s The Challenge: Double Agents ended in May 2021. Now, we’re getting season 37, Spies, Lies, and Allies, just a few months later. The network dropped the new trailer, which confirmed the theme, the release date, and the cast.
The trailer begins with coordinates that lead to Croatia, the filming location for the season. From there, we get a glimpse of some of the challenges to come, which include car explosions, water feats, and, of course, the infamous Hall Brawl — one of the more exciting head-to-head elimination games.
“Welcome to The Challenge: Spies, Lies, and Allies,” host T.J. Lavin tells the competitors at the beginning of the trailer. As for the contestants, there are 17 U.S. competitors and 17 international competitors going head to head. Early reports claimed a U.S. competitor teams up with an international contestant, and teams switch throughout the season based on who gets eliminated.
“You’ve got team German, team Romania, team Nigeria,” Kyle Christie’s voiceover states in the trailer. “If they band together, we’re screwed.”

It looks like contestants might receive a shock early on in MTV’s The Challenge: Spies, Lies, and Allies. The trailer shows a brief glimpse of a number of players, such as Nany González, Amanda Garcia, Ashley Mitchell, Kaycee Clark, Michele Fitzgerald, and Michaela Bradshaw, gathered around each other with their mouths gaped open at someone, or something, above them.
According to Allan Aguirre from Medium, what the contestants wear in the clip gives away the timing in which it took place. It seems they’re all wearing their first-night attire, and they also have drinks in hand. It’s likely the contestants party it up on the first night and then get told by T.J. to prepare for a challenge relatively immediately following their arrival.
We’re not sure what the first challenge of the season will be. But spoiler accounts suggest there’s no skull twist for elimination rounds, so this could greatly impact gameplay.
When is ‘The Challenge’ Season 37 coming out?
So, when can fans finally get to see the premiere of MTV’s The Challenge Season 37? According to the trailer, the show premieres Aug. 11, 2021, at 8 p.m. EST on MTV.
Season 37 deserves the hype — but it’s reportedly not the only Challenge on the horizon. Fans of All Stars will likely see another season of the series sooner rather than later. A former MTV contestant confirmed casting is already happening for All Stars 2. “Before anyone asks: I was asked and said ‘no’ to doing the second season of #challengeallstars,” Amaya Brecher tweeted back in May 2021. “But, yes, there is going to be a whole new crop of your favorites competing on @paramountplus in the near future!”
