It has been just over two weeks since Jana Duggar stunned Duggar family followers by tying the knot. The surprise of the Aug. 15 wedding took followers by surprise because Jana did not announce a courtship or an engagement before her nuptials. As it turns out, love wasn’t just in the air for Jana. Now that the 34-year-old is wed, the next Duggar to get hitched has stepped into the spotlight. Jason Duggar is officially engaged to the woman he introduced on social media several months back. His partner, Maddie Grace, shared the big news.

Maddie Grace, Jason Dugar’s fiancée, took to Instagram earlier this week to reveal that Jason had popped the question, and she said yes. According to the images shared on the social media platform, Jason set up a romantic proposal on the same beach that served as the backdrop for their relationship announcement photos. The proposal involved many roses, a neon “Will you marry me?” sign, and plenty of candles to set the mood. The proposal happened on Aug. 24, just nine days after Stephen and Jana exchanged vows.
While the Duggar family is known for running down the aisle quickly after a proposal, it seems like the next Duggar nuptials are still months off, despite the romantic engagement. The announcement was tagged with Spring 2025, suggesting the young couple won’t tie the knot until atleast April of next year. That will give Jason and Madison more than seven months to plan their big day.
Jason Duggar and Maddie Grace’s relationship timeline
Jason Duggar hard launched his relationship with Maddie Grace in late May with an Instagram photo shoot. In the shared images, Jason looked cozy with a then-unnamed woman. Jason didn’t tag his lady in the original post. She revealed herself just days later by tagging her boyfriend as her date at a wedding, though.
Since the May reveal, the couple has been spotted together several times and has shared photos of each other on social media. Before the big proposal, the duo was at Jana Duggar and Stephen Wissmann’s wedding and appeared together in pictures with the happy couple. Madison’s inclusion in family photos indicated that things had gotten pretty serious between the pair.
Duggar family followers theorized that a proposal had likely occurred or was forthcoming after Jason shared photos of himself with Maddie at Jana’s wedding. They were correct. While the couple was not engaged when Jana and Stephen tied the knot, a proposal happened just days later. It is unclear how the couple met or exactly when they started dating. Madison appears to be from Tennessee originally and is currently enrolled in college. Despite the planned 2025 wedding, Madison has already added the Duggar name to her Instagram username.
