‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’: Kendall Jenner Admitted 1 of Her Vogue Covers Was Photoshopped
Whether you love them or hate them, the Kardashian/Jenner family has been talked about for ages. And Kendall Jenner got her start on reality TV when she was just a young teen. Now, she’s grown into an international supermodel who’s been featured on plenty of Vogue covers — though she admits that not every cover is exactly how it seems.
Here’s what Kendall told Ellen DeGeneres about one of her vogue covers while visiting The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
Kendall Jenner’s been featured on Vogue covers since 2015
Each one of the Kardashian/Jenners has made a name for themselves, and Kendall’s claim to fame is her modeling. The 25-year-old has been on Vogue covers since 2015, and she continues to hit runways now.
As for how she got her start, her famous name certainly helps. In 2009, Kendall told her parents that she had aspirations of becoming a famous model someday, and they made it happen. Kendall met with Wilhelmina modeling with the help of Kris Jenner, and they signed her on immediately.
Since then, Kendall’s made plenty of career accomplishments. She’s walked as a Victoria’s Secret Angel with the help of her mom once again. In 2015, Kendall walked her first Victoria’s Secret show.
Thanks to her status, Kendall’s also been able to be quite selective when it comes to her modeling gigs. “I was never one of those girls who would do, like, 30 shows a season or whatever the F— those girls do,” she told Love Magazine in 2018. “More power to ’em.”
Kendall told Ellen DeGeneres 1 of her Vogue covers was photoshopped
While Kendall has plenty of career accomplishments, being on the cover of Vogue so many times is certainly a highlight. And she talks about it with Ellen DeGeneres.
“I was reading your Vogue article — which, congratulations,” DeGeneres tells Kendall back in 2018 when the model visited The Ellen DeGeneres Show. “You look beautiful.” DeGeneres then showed the cover of the magazine, which features Kendall with a parrot on her shoulder. “That’s a real bird, obviously,” the talk show host continued.
“Uh huh!” Jenner exclaimed. And DeGeneres then asked Jenner if she’s scared of birds. “I’m not scared of birds,” the model added. “There was a real bird there, yes.”
“Oh, they photoshopped it in,” DeGeneres concluded after Kendall’s behavior. “That’s what you’re saying! It wasn’t that close to your face.”
“It wasn’t that close to my face,” Kendall added.
Kendall’s been accused of photoshopping her own photos in the past
It’s no secret that magazine editors use plenty of photoshopping to make their photos look just right. And the Kardashian/Jenner family has also been accused of altering their own photos and videos they post to social media.
One of Kendall’s most notable accusations came in June 2020. The model seemed to post a photo of her holding a Black Lives Matter sign, but fans noticed the sign appeared to be photoshopped in. Then, Kendall responded to the accusations. “This is photoshopped by someone,” she tweeted. “I DID NOT post this.”
Aside from Kendall, Kim Kardashian and Kylie Jenner have also been at the center of many photoshop controversies. And Khloé Kardashian has been accused of altering her face with editing software, as many think she looks much different in her photos than she does in real life.
While Kendall totally admitted her Vogue cover was photoshopped, we do appreciate her honesty. And it gives fans something to look out for in the future.
