‘The Family Chantel’: Chantel Doesn’t Think Angenette Is as ‘Innocent’ as She Acts
The Family Chantel is back with an all-new season, and there are new members of the family that fans are getting to know. Chantel Everett’s brother, Royal, has come back to Atlanta, but he doesn’t come alone. He has a new wife, named Angenette. She’s from the Philippines, and Chantel seems to have her reservations about her.
Chantel Everett’s brother, Royal, has a new wife
Royal has returned home with his new bride after they had a courthouse wedding. They actually met online, and Royal went to the Philippines to meet her. He ended up proposing on his first trip over, and he’s been over to see her twice. Chantel says the couple tied the knot a week after Angenette arrived in the United States on the K-1 visa, but they technically had 90 days to do it.
Chantel has some reservations about the new match. She finds Angenette to be “quiet” and unlike the women Royal has dated before.
Chantel takes Angenette to the club, but Royal shows up to get his wife
Chantel invites Angenette out for a girl’s night with her sister, Winter, and her friends. The drinks are flowing, and they’re clearly having some fun. Even before arriving to the club, Royal is texting his wife about coming to get her. As the night goes on, Royal actually shows up to the club, and he takes his wife home. But Chantel is more than upset that her brother showed up.
“I feel like Royal just did not want her to be out in any environment where there would be other guys,” Chantel reveals to the cameras. “Maybe he’s insecure about her looking for another guy.”
Chantel mentions something her brother once told her about Angenette. “It seems like Royal feels like he needs to keep a close watch on Angenette,” Chantel says. She then details that Royal told her when the couple first got together that Angenette was “romantically messaging other guys that were also in America,” according to Chantel.
Chantel doesn’t think Angenette is as ‘innocent’ as she acts
This week, Chantel meets up with her mother to go shopping for ugly sweaters for an upcoming photo shoot with the family. Chantel tells her mother, Karen, that they all decided to go out the other night. Chantel says Royal “spoiled everything” by showing up.
Karen mentions that Royal is “very protective” of his wife.
Chantel goes on to reveal that she doesn’t think Angenette is as “innocent” as she acts. “But you see, I don’t think she’s as innocent as she is trying to portray herself,” Chantel tells her mother. “We’re out there having a good time, and he doesn’t even trust her enough to let her have it. He came there, swooped her up, told us all that we were drunk and then left. And I’m mad at him.”
Karen reveals that Royal is also mad at his sister, considering he didn’t like how her husband, Pedro Jimeno, and herself were probing for questions at his birthday celebration. Karen goes on to say that Royal feels Pedro was implying that Angenette is a “mail order bride.”
Karen says Angenette is a “regular girl,” but Chantel asks her how she knows, considering they’ve only known her for a few weeks, and they haven’t even been to her country yet. But Karen seems to have a different opinion than her daughter.
“My son’s a grown man,” Karen tells the cameras. “And I’m sure he is fully capable of determining what’s a good situation for him and what is not. So I don’t really have any concrete reason to mistrust Angenette’s intentions with my son. If I find out that her intentions were not sincere, I would definitely change my opinion of her.”
We’ll have to see if Chantel’s suspicions about Angenette lead anywhere.
