Are Joan Vassos and Chock Chapple still together after ‘The Golden Bachelorette’?

Chock Chapple won Joan Vassos’ heart early in The Golden Bachelorette. When Chock met Joan’s family and spent private time with her in the Fantasy Suites, she knew their love could last. “I started feeling unseen when John passed away, and so I think sometimes being seen, you only need one person to see you,” she said in an interview. “Chock makes me feel seen.”

In The Golden Bachelorette finale Instagram teaser, Joan appears confident in her decision. “I woke up this morning, and I realized it actually happened,” Joan’s voice says as she’s on the beach. “I had only been in love with one person. More than one now.”

“I can see myself with Joan the rest of my life,” Chock says in another voiceover. “What a special feeling that is.”

According to Reality Steve, Joan accepts Chock’s engagement ring at the end of The Golden Bachelorette. The 90-minute finale will contain a live element, with Guy Gansert getting a chance to talk about his experience on the show and final moments with Joan. As for Chock and Joan, they remain together and will continue to plan the rest of their lives as a couple.

Joan Vassos talked about how she immediately felt attracted to Chock Chapple when she met him on night one of The Golden Bachelorette.

“As the limos started rolling in, every once in awhile one would roll in, and I was like, ‘Oh, he was good. Oh, I like that one. He’s good-looking; I’m attracted to him. And Chock was one of those people that, immediately, what he did — the Chock-O-Noodle soup was hilarious,” Joan said on The Viall Files. “The reason that was such a good thing to do was I realized he went and figured out who I was and what was important to me. I do some cooking videos. … For 34 years, I have done a Sunday night dinner, and it brings everybody together.”

Joan elaborated that Chock did his homework before appearing on the show. He knew that Joan adored cooking and loved her family, and he even knew the names of her four children. “Some people call that creepy,” Joan said. “Some people, like me, thought, wow, he really is interested.”

‘The Golden Bachelorette’ star is open to a televised wedding

Joan Vassos didn’t enter The Golden Bachelorette needing to an engagement. “So, I said that I didn’t necessarily need to get engaged; I wanted to leave this with a person — a person that I thought, ‘I’m going to see how this life works out in the outside world, outside of The Bachelor experience,'” she said on The Viall Files. While she didn’t give away her ending at the time of the podcast, she noted that whatever happened, she wanted viewers to see beyond the finale. This could include a wedding.

“So if it is a wedding or if we move in together or if I find somebody at all, they deserve to get to know that,” she added.

“It’s not fair to say, ‘OK see you later! The show is over!'” Joan said, adding that she’s “open to a wedding.”

Now that we know Chock got down on one knee, fans will have to wait and see whether ABC gives the green light to another televised Golden wedding.

The Golden Bachelorette finale airs on ABC on Wednesday, Nov. 13, at 8 p.m. ET.
