‘The Golden Bachelorette’: Joan Vassos’ Fantasy Suites Will Be Completely Unique
Joan Vassos sent four more love interests home on episode 2 of The Golden Bachelorette. Now down to 14 suitors, the Maryland-based widow is inching closer to finding her next great love. Before she makes a final decision, she and a couple of her contestants will enjoy some time alone in the fantasy suites. Every season of the famed franchise includes a fantasy suites episode. Vassos’ episode will look much different than previous seasons. She has requested a special accommodation in her fantasy suite.
Joan Vassos asked for the bed to be removed from her fantasy suite
Joan Vassos is taking a different approach to the fantasy suites than contestants who have come before her. ABC is careful to keep shows in Bachelor Nation, mostly PG-13. Still, most fans have seen enough seasons to know that things turn physical when the cameras go off in the fantasy suites.
That won’t be happening for Joan Vassos, though. The Maryland native told Parade that she had a different vision for the overnight dates than she had seen in previous seasons of The Bachelorette and even The Golden Bachelor. The mother of four revealed that she was uncomfortable with the idea of having a physical relationship with more than one man. Instead of using the fantasy suites to connect with the suitors on a sexual level, she’ll be focusing purely on the emotional intimacy that is only possible when the cameras are not on.
Vassos felt so strongly about it that she asked for the bed to be removed from the room. She told the publication that she wanted to make it clear that a hookup wasn’t on the table. Removing the bed certainly sends a pretty clear message.
Who did Joan Vassos eliminate in week 2?
While we are still weeks away from the fantasy suites on The Golden Bachelorette, Joan is having plenty of fun dating around. Not everyone can stay in the competition till the end, though. So, who exactly did she send packing this week?
Bob Kilroy, a chiropractor from California who has been struck by lightning, was sent home. Christopher Stallworth, a contractor, and Michael Stevens, a retired banking CEO, also left the mansion. Jack Lencioni, a raucous early fan favorite, was the last man eliminated from the competition this week.
While Jack was eliminated, a few other fan favorites are still in the competition. Keith Gordon, who received Vassos’ first impression rose last week, made it through to the next round, as did Pascal Ibgui, a French salon owner. Mark Anderson, Kelsey Anderson’s father, is also still vying for Joan’s heart.
