‘The Good Doctor’: A Breakup Might Be in the Cards for Shaun and Lea
The Good Doctor Season 4, Episode 4, brings a new development in Shaun and Lea’s relationship. Things are progressing, but it looks like there’s trouble in paradise.
Does Lea really love Shaun?
During The Good Doctor Season 4, Episode 3, titled “Newbies,” Lea become upset after Shaun unintentionally insults her. During a conversation with a group of first-year residents, he says her body is perfect but that he doesn’t like her “adenoidal” voice when she talks on the phone.
“I’m not even bothered by your adenoidal voice,” says Shaun. “Except when you talk to your mother on the phone. But I just put on headphones.”
Lea didn’t know how to respond, so she tells the residents that at least they will have a boss who will be “totally honest” with them. She tries not to show how she’s feeling, but it’s obvious that she’s hurt, embarrassed, and angry. It was bad enough that Shaun insulted Lea, but the fact that he said it in front of other people made things worse. Shaun later apologizes and says he loves Lea. She replies with, “Thank you for your total honesty.”
What’s going on with Lea?
At the end of season 3, Lea tells Shaun how much she loves him and that she was “stupid” for not seeing it. She was very emotional, and practically begged Shaun to date her. Fast forward to season 4, and Lea seems like a different person. Her feelings seem to have cooled off a bit.
What happened? Is Lea having second thoughts about dating Shaun? She already had some major reservations about him, and it seems like those feelings are slowly creeping back. Shaun could be facing some major heartbreak down the road.
Lea agreed to move in with Shaun
Lea said she will move in with Shaun, but we don’t think this is going to be a permanent arrangement. They’re still in the honeymoon phase of their relationship. It’s a matter of time before they have a nasty fight and break up. We’ve seen what their fights were like when they were just friends, so their first serious argument as a couple will likely be epic.
Lea told Shaun she was mostly moving in with him because it was “inevitable.” Her primary reason isn’t that she’s in love and wants to spend more time with Shaun. She just thought it would happen anyway, so she agreed to move in. She also said she’s not sure if they have enough trust and commitment. So why is she really moving in? Something just doesn’t seem right about this.
