‘The Goonies’ was about a group of plucky teens

The Goonies plot placed plucky kids at the center, and the film resonated with youngsters who were drawn into the story of unlikely heroes. The action kicks off with a group of friends who are desperate to save their homes from foreclosure. When they discover a treasure map, they follow the clues in hopes of retrieving the hidden booty of the legendary pirate, One-Eyed Willie.

The unofficial leader of the group, dubbed the Goonies, is Mikey, played by Sean Astin. His best friends are Mouth, Data, and Chunk brought to life by Corey Feldman, Ke Huy Quan, and Jeff Cohen. Also, reluctantly along for the ride are Mikey’s big brother, Brand, the object of his affection, Andy, and her bestie, Stef. The older teens are played by Josh Brolin, Kerri Green, and Martha Plimpton.

When the Goonies set off on their mission to find the hidden treasure, they gain some unwanted attention from a trio of murderous crooks, who relentlessly pursue them with ill intent. While hurriedly evading the criminals, the kids must also dodge elaborate booby traps set by One-Eyed Willie years earlier.

For the on-screen characters, it was all about hunting for treasure. With that in mind, here’s a peek at The Goonies stars’ personal fortunes, according to Celebrity Net Worth.

Josh Brolin as ‘Brand’

With an estimated $35 million in net worth, Brolin tops his Goonies co-stars when it comes to wealth. The actor has racked up a slew of acting credits, including his role as Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: End Game.
