The Hills is back once again. The Hills: New Beginnings Season 2 premieres tonight. Though season 1 was a success and scored the show a second season, some fans felt that it was missing something when the original stars of the show, Lauren Conrad and Kristin Cavallari, didn’t return. Though Conrad will not be coming back to the show, Cavallari is set to make an appearance this season. But will she become a The Hills cast regular?

‘The Hills: New Beginnings’ is different from ‘The Hills’

Though the shows bare a similar name, The Hills: New Beginnings is different than its predecessor in that it shows a more mature crowd.

“Lauren narrated the entire show before,” star Brody Jenner told
 HollywoodLife of the differences between the shows. “This, I feel has an entirely different feel. There’s more camera time and things like that with cast members and you get to see different dramas. It’s a whole different format for the show which is really cool. Kind of hard to get used to but it definitely adds a different element for viewers to see.”

But just because people have matured doesn’t mean season 1 wasn’t packed with drama. The same feuds that we would have seen a decade ago on The Hills definitely showed up on New Beginnings.

Kristin is returning to ‘The Hills: New Beginnings’ Season 2

As shown in the previews for The Hills: New Beginnings Season 2, Cavallari rejoined the show.

“We love Kristin, everybody loves Kristin. Her energy’s unlike anybody else’s,” Jenner recently told the outlet of working with Cavallari again.

“I mean she comes on, she’s so professional at this she’s been doing it for so long,” he continued. “She’s a pleasure to be around. She’s fun, she makes it so easy, she’s just, she knows what’s up so I love filming with her.”

Fellow cast member, Frankie Delgado, shared Jenner’s feelings.

“Yeah, it was pretty awesome to see her again, It had been probably 10 years since I had last seen her, but we just picked up like we had just seen her the day before. It’s always been good,” he added.

Will Kristin Cavallari be joining ‘The Hills: New Beginnings’ Season 2 cast?

Cavallari loved filming for The Hills reboot but so far, she has only signed on to do one episode.

“It was like no time has passed,” she told the outlet. “I loved seeing everybody and filming. I did one episode and I’m so happy that I was able to go back and have a good time.”

Though she only made an appearance on the show, Cavallari fell back into her old drama-filled ways while filming. 

“You’ll have to wait and see what kind of trouble I stirred up when it comes out!” she said.

Along with Cavallari, Jenner, and Delgado, more fan favorites are returning to The Hills: New Beginnings Season 2 cast like Audrina Patridge, Heidi Montag, Spencer Pratt, Jason Wahler, Stephanie Pratt, and Whitney Port. The O.C. star Mischa Barton, who was on the first season of The Hills: New Beginnings wont be returning for season 2.
