‘The Hills: New Beginnings’: Which Cast Member Is the Most Loved Amongst Fans?

Throughout the years, The Hills cast members have been some of the most fan-favorite reality stars.

The cast has gained quite the large fan base since the show’s premiere back in 2006 and has continued to grow to this day.

Now that the hit MTV series has returned with its own spinoff, The Hills: New Beginnings, have fan-favorites stayed the same or did the newest cast members take the top spots?

OG cast members are no longer the most popular

This past summer, many of us watched as the OG cast members of The Hills returned to the exciting realm of reality television for the series’ spinoff, The Hills: New Beginnings.

The series followed those cast members, alongside their children, friends, and a few newcomers as they experienced the many ups and downs within their personal and professional lives while living in Los Angeles.

While the show reached a new level of popularity with this highly-anticipated sequel, so did the cast members.

According to SEMrush, a trusted data provider, which analyzes search volume and social media sentiment, many of the cast member’s popularity skyrocketed since its premiere back in June.

After just 12 episodes, fan-favorites became pretty evident on social media and this platform has ranked The Hills: New Beginnings stars from the most to the least popular.

The cast member who has taken the number on spot on the list is Brody Jenner’s ex-wife, Kaitlynn Carter.

Although she was relatively unknown before the show, Carter’s popularity grew substantially this past summer.

With her and Jenner having opened up about their polyamorous relationship, their marriage not being legally binding, and news of their split making headlines, this blogger turned reality star skyrocketed in popularity from the beginning of the season to now.

SEMrush reported that by the season finale, Carter’s popularity grew by 1,922%, making her the most popular cast member and beating out longtime fan favorites Lauren Conrad and Kristin Cavallari.

Jenner’s popularity also grew and has landed him the number 2 spot on the most popular cast member list. With all of the drama he has been apart of these past few months alone, there’s no wonder why he also tops the list.

Mischa Barton, who was also a newcomer this season, landed the number 3 spot.

While the actress was a little hesitant joining the show in the beginning, it turns out that her search volume grew by 50% just a few short weeks into the season.

The most notable cast members bring up the rear of the list

While many of us can easily understand why Kaitlynn Carter and Mischa Barton top the list as the most popular, it might come as a shock to that a majority of the OG cast members didn’t rank as high.

It turns out that Justin Bobby, Spencer Pratt, Jason Wahler, Frankie Delgado, Heidi Pratt ranked as the least popular cast members amongst fans with the lowest search volume and social media sentiment.

While the series would have most likely not have been the same without these cast members, fans were a little more intrigued with the storylines of the show’s newcomers.

Even fan-favorites Lauren Conrad and Kristin Cavallari went down in popularity a bit but still maintain that loyal fan base.
