‘The Kardashians’ Episode 1: ‘Burn Them All to the F***ing Ground’ Recap
If you’re looking for a sense of the “before-times,” Hulu’s got you covered. The streaming platform debuted The Kardashians on April 14, 2022, and the world just seemed to shift back toward normal a little bit with the famous family gracing our TVs once again. In The Kardashians Episode 1, “Burn Them All to the F***ing Ground,” we catch up with the entire family. But it’s not long before trouble strikes. Kim deals with an issue involving her old sex tape. Kourtney and Travis Barker heat up, Khloe and Tristan attempt to work on their relationship as friends, and Khloe, Kim, and Kourtney discuss inviting Scott to family functions.
Kim’s son Saint gets a disturbing ad during a Roblox game in ‘Burn Them All to the F***ing Ground’
The first minute or two of “Burn Them All to the F***ing Ground” is spent re-introducing fans to Kris, Kim, and the rest of the gang as everyone gathers at Kim’s house for a family barbecue. During dinner, Kim’s son Saint shows his mom a “funny picture” that popped up on his screen during a game of Roblox. Her infamous “cry face” with some inappropriate language implies more scenes of her sex tape would be available to the public soon. She calls her lawyers immediately to see how to stop anything else from getting released.
Kourtney and Travis are still going strong
Kourtney split with her ex-boyfriend and father of her children, Scott Disick, seven years ago, but the family still invites him to the occasional get-together. When Kim doesn’t invite Scott to her barbecue, she worries he’ll get upset when he finds out.
However, Kourtney feels completely different about the issue. In “Burn Them All to the F***ing Ground,” she tells producers, “Scott and I have been broken up for seven years, and I gave him 10 years before that. So, like, why is everyone making such a big deal about this? Let’s just not hate on a girl who finally knows what she deserves.”
Fans also see Scott as he explains how he feels about the breakup and potentially losing the Kardashian-Jenner family from his life. He talks to Khloe about his feelings, but then the show takes us to Kourtney and Travis at his studio.
The couple can hardly keep their hands off each other, and Kourtney talks about how much she loves seeing Travis around her children. Everyone in The Kardashians makes it clear that they know Kourtney has finally found “the one.”
Khloe shows up for a chat with Tristan during ‘Burn Them All to the F***ing Ground”
Khloe and Tristan share a daughter, True, but a cheating scandal caused the pair to break things off. However, she tells the cameras, “Tristan and I, currently, are not exactly together. He’s one of my best friends. I see Tristan a couple of times a week. He’s a really hands-on dad and me and Tristan really don’t have tension.”
She also explains that Tristan wants them to get back together, and Tristan currently goes to therapy. They also do “couples” therapy together, but Khloe explains that it’s Tristan’s therapy that she’s occasionally asked to join. Their conversation ends after Tristan asks Khloe to trust him again.
Kim breaks down over the possibility of her sex tape resurfacing
Before “Burn Them to the F***ing Ground” ends, Kim prepares to host Saturday Night Live. Khloe, Kourtney, and Kris stop by to discuss the potential lawsuit. Ray J.’s manager, is threatening to drop unreleased footage from her sex tape.
Kim fiercely vows to protect herself and her children before saying, “I know the right attorneys this time, I know exactly what to do this time. I’m not going to let this happen to me again. I have all the time, all of the money, to burn them all to the f***ing ground.”
