The Kardashian women know a thing or two about heartbreak and betrayal. Most of them have dealt with being cheated on publicly and each one of them has gone through breakups while being in the public eye. In the last year, Khloe Kardashian has had to deal with Tristan Thompson, the father of her child, cheating on her with a close family friend, and all of the opinions that fans had regarding the matter. Keeping up with the Kardashians documented how hard the whole situation was for Khloe and her sisters. But it seems that the family has finally forgiven Thompson.

Why did Khloe Kardashian and Tristan Thompson break up?

Kardashian and Thompson had been on rocky terms for months leading up to their official breakup. While she was pregnant, pictures of Thompson getting cozy with other women began to surface. Kardashian forgave the basketball player for these transgressions because she wanted him to be with her when their baby was born.

But in February of last year, Kardashian ended the relationship after Thompson allegedly kissed Kylie Jenner’s best friend, Jordyn Woods.

The Kardashians have forgiven Tristan Thompson

During the breakup, Khloe leaned on her sisters for support and Jenner dropped Woods as a friend. Everyone was team Kardashian. But they couldn’t cut Thompson off the same way that they did Woods. Despite Kardashian and Thompson breaking up, he was still around a lot because of his daughter, True. At first, there was tension between Thompson and the Kardashians, but now the ice that grew between them is starting to thaw.

“Tristan is always welcome to spend as much time with True as he would like,” a source told HollywoodLife. “This is not only Khloe’s feelings, but the entire family. They do welcome Tristan around. The door is always open and Khloe tells him that constantly. Khloe has True in LA most of the time, but Tristan has been spending more time with her now that she’s getting older. He doesn’t want to miss a lot of the milestones, so he’s been more present. She’s always thought Tristan was a fantastic father when with True and engages with her.”

Is Khloe Kardashian getting back with Tristan Thompson?

Since their split, Thompson has been focused on winning Kardashian back. He’s sent her numerous gifts and is always commenting on her social media posts. (A real Romeo, right?)

And it looks like Kardashian is finally open to them rekindling their romance.

“They’re co-parenting and talking more and more now that it’s been a year since the Jordyn Woods incident,” the source continued. “They’ve come leaps and bounds since last year. Despite what he did, everyone really liked Tristan. It seems Khloe really does want to try to make things work with him, but they’re just taking it slow. She’s doing everything she’s doing for True.”

Kardashian has been slowly letting Thomspon back into her life, inviting him over for dinners and hanging out with him and True together. Only time will tell if the two are able to truly get past his alleged infidelity and if he has really changed his ways.
