Fan reactions to the possibility of Carrie’s return for ‘The L Word: Generation Q’ Season 3

Fans took to Reddit to discuss Carrie’s potential return to the show. The character has received mixed responses from viewers so far, but many are hoping to see her turn it around next season.

“Even though I disliked Carrie I’m fine with this as long as they write her as an actual grown adult and not the hideously patronizing stuff [surrounding] the character last season,” one fan wrote in part.

“I love Carrie,” said another. “I like her for Tina. And she’s able to push Bette’s buttons so much by simply existing. It’s fabulous. 😂”

Someone else hoped to see “Tina and Carrie riding off into the sunset” this season, noting that “Angie’s about to be off to college soon anyway.”

“Seconded. Carrie is good for the story and well acted,” read another comment.

Others had different predictions for Tina and Carrie

At the same time, some wondered if Carrie would only come back for a short time to give closure to her relationship with Tina.

“I feel like she needs to be back to wrap up the whole Tina/Carrie/Bette/Pippa saga,” one comment said.

“I love Rosie, but not a fan of Carrie,” read another. “[Thinking] she’ll be there to wrap up her storyline with Tina. Showtime wants to promote her because she is on another Showtime show. I don’t want to see screen time taken up by her. Only 10 episodes and so many other storylines I want to see, especially Bette & Tina getting back together.”

Another reader agreed that they are “not a fan of her but [are] happy season 3 is coming.”

While the exact release date for The L Word: Generation Q Season 3 is still uncertain, Showtime has promised a 2023 premiere. We’ll find out then how everything pans out for Carrie.
