‘The Last Kingdom’: Alexander Dreymon Shares Behind-the-Scenes Picture With Director
Many fans of The Last Kingdom already know, but season 5 will be the final season of the series. It’s a hard thing for fans to come to terms with, but at least season 5 is back in production in Hungary. With that being said, fans have been recently treated to a number of photos from their favorite actors from the show. Alexander Dreymon, who plays the main character, Uhtred, recently shared an image with one of the directors from the upcoming season.
Alexander Dreymon shares a behind-the-scenes picture with a director from season 5 of ‘The Last Kingdom’
The Last Kingdom follows the story of Uhtred, son of Uhtred, as he navigates his world during a time of conflict between the Saxons and the Danes. Dreymon, who plays the memorable character Uhtred, recently shared an image on Instagram of himself and director Anthony Philipson, who will direct some episodes of the upcoming season. According to Philipson’s IMDb page, he’s directing episodes seven and eight of season 5.
On June 11, 2021, Dreymon shared an image of himself and Philipson. Dreymon is dressed as Uhtred with his hair back, and the sides cut short with his hands at his sides. The director has a mask and hat on with his hands up in front of him. He appears to be interacting with Dreymon in the shot. They are in front of what looks like a wooden structure. Someone else can be seen behind them out of focus as well.
Dreymon captioned the post: “If I look like I hate his guts in this picture, it’s because I do. Being directed by,” here he tags Philipson’s account, adding, “was excruciating. He’s smart, creative, sensitive, respectful to everyone, has the best sense of humor and is a great leader. 🤮 Go steal someone else’s thunder.”
Over 107,000 people liked the post, and over 1,300 people commented on it. Dreymon also tagged the director as well as the official Instagram account for the series in the photo. Philipson shared a version of the photo as well on his Instagram account too.
Emily Cox (Brida) recently shared an image with Mark Rowley (Finan)
Other actors from the series have been sharing photos too now that season 5 is back in production. On June 9, 2021, Emily Cox, who plays Brida in the series, shared an image of herself on Instagram along with Mark Rowley, who plays Finan.
The photo is black and white, and Emily tagged Mark’s account and the official Instagram account for the series. In the post, Emily and Mark have on sunglasses and headphones in the image. Emily wears a zip-up jacket with her hair done as Brida. She makes a popular symbol with one of her hands, sometimes referred to as the rocker symbol. Mark does the same with one of his hands as well, and he’s wearing what looks like armor with a hat on his head. Behind them is a trailer.
Emily captioned the post on Instagram: “Finan and Brida in the house😎… Who can guess what music we‘re listening to?” She tagged Mark again and added a few hashtags: “#thelastkingdom #brida #finan.” Over 8,000 people liked the post, and over 100 commented on it.
It’s always nice to see photos like these from our favorite actors from the show. Hopefully, fans will get to see even more photos before season 5 of The Last Kingdom drops.
