‘The Last Kingdom’: Get an Official Look at Stiorra in Season 5
Many fans of The Last Kingdom can’t wait to see the series once again. Although season 5 will be the final season, hopefully, it will be everything fans need it to be.
Fans were recently treated to a first official look at Stiorra (Ruby Hartley) in season 5. We have all the details to know.
‘The Last Kingdom’ season 5 has finished filming
Recently, fans learned on June 22, 2021, that filming in Hungary for season 5 has officially finished for the series. Jon East, one of the directors for season 5 and someone who has also directed previous episodes before, shared the news via social media, including Instagram.
In the post, a clapperboard can be seen in someone’s hand. The clapperboard has the name of the series on it as well as the date, June 21, 2021. Jon East’s name is also on it as the director.
East captioned the post revealing the news: “It’s most definitely a wrap!!! As of last night, TLK5 is in the (digital) can. Phew! That last block – eps 9&10 – was an absolute monster, a BEAST, which eclipsed in complexity and scale anything else that I’ve directed on this amazing show since I first helmed episodes back in 2016. If nothing else, I can at least reveal that the show’s last season is going out in truly EPIC style! Big thanks here to the remarkable team that worked with tireless devotion to make it so, you are all stars! Respect.”
The official social media accounts for the series also shared the news via East’s posts as well.
Get an official look at Stiorra in season 5 of ‘The Last Kingdom’
The official social media channels for the series have been sharing looks of some of the characters in the new season, including Uhtred (Alexander Dreymon) and Brida (Emily Cox). On June 24, an official look at Stiorra was shared on Instagram. In it, the name of the series can be seen in the upper left corner. Down below, a quote from Stiorra is added: “’We follow where the gods lead us, and the gods are sending me to Daneland.’ – Stiorra.”
In the image shared of Stiorra, she is looking off away from the camera with her hair done up and worn long down her back with what appears to be braids in it. She has an earring on, and she wears a cloak and ensemble in red and brown. She also has on a necklace as well. Other people can barely be seen in the background, and the sky looks like it’s getting dark.
The post is captioned: “The Gods are calling, but is it wise for Stiorra to answer… #thelastkingdom #TLK5.” Ruby Hartley’s account is also tagged in the post as well.
Stiorra in ‘The Last Kingdom’
Stiorra is the daughter of the main character, Uhtred, and his late wife, Lady Gisela (Peri Baumeister). She goes with Sigtryggr (Eysteinn Sigurðarson), a Dane who took Winchester, as one of the conditions for him leaving Winchester. At first a hostage, she goes willingly to Daneland with him. We’ll have to see what season 5 holds for Stiorra now.
It’s exciting to see this first official look at Stiorra. It will be intriguing to see what else is shared before season 5 of The Last Kingdom officially premieres.
