‘The Last Kingdom’: See an Official Look at Sigtryggr in Season 5
The hit series The Last Kingdom will conclude with the upcoming season. Although it’s a hard situation to come to terms with, there’s still one more season to go before it’s all really over.
The official social media channels have been sharing official looks at the characters ahead of season 5, and Sigtryggr (Eysteinn Sigurðarson) was just shared. We have all the details to know about it.
Sigtryggr in ‘The Last Kingdom’
Sigtryggr is a Dane and cousin to Cnut (Magnus Bruun) as well as the late Ubba’s (Rune Temte) great-nephew according to Sigtryggr’s Fandom page. He leads a group of Danes that were all forced to leave Ireland. He becomes a threat when he takes Winchester in Wessex from the Saxons along with Brida (Emily Cox). But Sigtryggr comes to an agreement with the Saxons, and he takes Stiorra (Ruby Hartley), Uhtred’s (Alexander Dreymon) daughter, with him as a stipulation for him leaving Winchester and being given possession of Eoferwic as well. It’s unclear what kind of role the character will play in season 5 going forward.

On August 4, 2021, the official social media channels shared a look at Sigtryggr in season 5. In the upper left corner is the name of the show. Sigtryggr can be seen in the middle of the post looking rather serious with his hair down at his sides hitting his shoulders. He has on his usual necklace and a dark-colored ensemble. It’s unclear where he is based on the shot, but it seems to be a serious situation based on the look on his face.
There is also a quote below the image from Sigryggr. “’It is more difficult to live peacefully with enemies than to fight them.’ – Sigtryggr.”
The post is captioned: “Keep your enemies close… #TheLastKingdom #TLK5.” Over 38,000 people already liked the post on Instagram, and there are over 300 comments.
See Stiorra in season 5
Stiorra goes willingly to Daneland with Sigtryggr, and she seems quite positive about it. On June 24, fans received an official glimpse of Stiorra in the new season. In the post on Instagram, the name of the series can be seen in the upper left corner. There is also a quote from Stiorra added down below: “’We follow where the gods lead us, and the gods are sending me to Daneland.’ – Stiorra.”
In the middle is an image of Stiorra, and she is looking off away from the camera with her hair up and worn long down her back with what appears to be braids in it. She has an earring on, and she wears a cloak and ensemble in red and brown. Stiorra also has on a necklace as well. Other people can be seen in the background, and the sky looks like it’s getting dark.
