Nintendo created the Champions in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Daruk, Urbosa, Revali, and Mipha. However, since they all died previously to the start of BOTW, players did not have many ways to interact with these new characters. However, after helping the Gorons at Death Mountain calm Vah Rudania, Link can use Champion Daruk’s Boulder Breaker in Breath of the Wild, a mighty weapon with helpful hidden attributes.

How to obtain Daruk’s Boulder Breaker in ‘The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild’

After defeating Fireblight Ganon and freeing Daruk and Divine Beast Vah Rudania, Link returns to the entrance of Goron City at the base of Death Mountain. Yunobo thanks Link for calming the ancient Shiekah creations and tells him to speak with the Goron leader, Bludo.

Bludo thanks Link for calming the Divine Beast. He offers Link a treasure, Daruk’s Boulder Breaker, one of the power Champion weapons in Breath of the Wild. Players can find a treasure chest on the throne-looking structure in the back.

While Daruk wielded the weapon with one hand, Link needs to use both even to carry it. Bludo commented how Daruk effortlessly carved the valley at Gortram Cliff in one night with it. Bludo even jokes about Daruk using it casually as a fan to cool off.

The weapon boasts 60 attack power and durability, making it exceptionally useful. However, the legendary weapon can still get damaged, just like the Master Sword. Luckily, players can reforge the item.

How to get the Goron Rohan to repair Daruk’s Boulder Breaker in ‘The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild’

If Breath of the Wild players break Daruk’s Boulder Breaker, the Goron Rohan can reforge the weapon. They just have to brave the heat hotter than the Gerudo Desert to get there again.

To find Rohan, head to the northwest of town, where you’ll find the Goron Fugo walking around outside during the day. He tells Link about his master, the Goron blacksmith Rohan.

However, Rohan likes to sleep, so visiting him at night or first thing in the morning will not let players ask to reforge the weapon. Wait by the fire in front of his house until noon to speak with him.

Players can find Rohan at his avail, hammering away. He offers to repair Daruk’s Boulder Breaker; he just needs a Cobble Crusher, five pieces of flint, and a diamond. Luckily, Cobble Crusher is not the most challenging item to obtain, unlike the Twilight Bow.

If you need to get your hands on a Cobble Crusher, the Tah Muhl Shrine has one tuckered away in a treasure chest. A Cobble Crusher respawns outside Yunobo’s house, located behind the Rollin’ Inn if you already collected that one.

The Champion’s weapon makes Fugo’s quest ‘The Road to Respect,’ easy

As mentioned earlier, the Goron Fugo works as an apprentice to Rohan. He conveniently offers the Breath of the Wild quest “The Road to Respect,” which is made ten times easier with Daruk’s Boulder Breaker.

Rohan told Fugo to defeat every Igneo Talus around Goron City. However, he cannot get to the one across Darunia Lake (named after the Ocarina of Time sage, just like Lake Saria or Rauru Hillside).

Luckily, Daruk’s Boulder Breaker has a hidden property that deals double damage to Stone Talus and Igneous Talus’ when attacking the weak spots. It can turn a challenging Zelda boss into quick work.

Completing the quest rewards Link with a silver Rupee (worth 100 Rupees).
