There’s a new character coming to the second season of The Mandalorian. Rather, a character from another Star Wars series. Although Jedi are enemies of The Mandalorian, the Child’s strength in the force might connect him to this new and mysterious character.

The Mandalorian doesn’t have the force — that viewers know of, at least

When injured in battle with the mudhorn, the Mandalorian makes a shocking discovery about the Child — he has the force. Sure, it takes a toll on him to use it, but the Mandalorian is shocked, realizing that’s probably the reason why the Empire wanted him.

He may be one of the best bounty hunters in the galaxy, but the Mandalorian doesn’t exactly have the force. At least, he doesn’t know how to use the force yet. For season 2 of The Mandalorian, this character will come in contact with a Jedi from another Star Wars series.

The Mandalorian has to return the Child to its ‘tribe’

In the trailer, fans learned of past battles between “Mandalore the Great” and a group of sorcerers called Jedi. Although they may be enemies, the Mandalorian’s task is to return the Child to its tribe. This is the way.

The Mandalorian may not be strong with the force, but there are some Jedi still hidden in this world that are. Ahsoka Tano returns to the Star Wars universe for season 2 of this Disney+ original series, as seen during a brief clip in the trailer.

Fans first met this character in the animated series, The Clone Wars, where she acted as Anakin Skywalker’s Padawan. She quickly became a favorite among fans, joining the powerful women in the Star Wars universe.

There’s a Jedi who appears in ‘The Mandalorian’

There’s no word regarding whether there will be more Jedi in The Mandalorian. However, during an interview with Deadline, Clone Wars director Dave Filoni shared what makes this character special.

“Kids related to Ahsoka because she was a kid first and foremost like them,” Filoni said. “She was someone growing up at a time. Maybe they related to some of the difficulties she had or some of the challenges she had. She’s right next to one of the greatest Jedi of all time, Anakin, and one of the most skilled and one of the most knowledgeable, Obi-Wan Kenobi.”

These characters appear in the upcoming season of this Star Wars series. Episodes of The Mandalorian are available on Disney+, with the second season premiering on Oct. 30, 2020, and new episodes premiering on a weekly basis.

Until then, fans can watch episodes of the docu-series regarding the creation of the original show, titled Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian. To learn more about Disney’s streaming platform and to subscribe, visit their website
