Who is Ant in ‘The Masked Singer’ Season 13? Fans think it’s this Danity Kane singer

The Masked Singer Season 13 introduced Ant during the premiere. She sang “Just Give Me a Reason” by Pink, and for “Shrek Night,” she sang “Wide Awake” by Katy Perry. The panelists guessed the singer could be Evan Rachel Wood, Lea Michele, Lindsay Lohan, or even Ke$ha. However, fans think it’s a singer from Danity Kane after seeing two of her clue packages.

Ant’s first clue package hinted at the singer’s struggles with a powerful leader in the industry.

“The thing about ants is that they’re small and mighty,” she says. “And did you know, they can carry over 50 times their body weight? But just because you can carry a heavy burden doesn’t mean you should have to. I’ve been forced to bear a deep, dark secret for my entire career. And because of this secret, powerful people tried to erase me, to brush me off, to stomp me out.”

The first visual clues in the clue package include a dollhouse and a candelabra in stormy weather. Ant then stumbles upon a red “X” on a tree. As the storm lifts, she finds a purple wizard’s hat.

“The weight of it broke my spirit — broke me. But recently, I made a decision. I could stay broken, or I could be a warrior,” Ant continued. “That’s the reason I’m here. To fight for my voice, to be heard, and, like any ant, march toward real change.”

Fans suspect Aubrey O’Day sings as Ant. Her clues reference her tumultuous past with Sean “Diddy” Combs, and the dollhouse represents Danity Kane’s first album, Welcome to the Dollhouse. The “X” on the tree likely represents her time on Ex on the Beach. And the wizard’s hat likely refers to when she played Dorothy in a Wizard of Oz production.

“Ant has a candy cane in her hat — Danity ‘Kane,'” an eagle-eyed fan on Reddit noticed.

The Masked Singer Season 13 Episode 2, “Shrek Night,” revealed Ant’s second clue package. The clues point to Sean “Diddy” Combs.

“Every classic fairytale has a villain. I know I certainly had mine,” Ant says while sitting on a bed in a tower. She then talks of feeling “frozen” and “isolated because of someone else’s dark motivations.”

Ant is then seen grabbing a bottle of hairspray. “He was my own Lord Farquaad who sought to own my power,” she continues. “He was oppressive, vain, and cruel; he told me in order to get ahead that I would have to obey, to be submissive, sweet, and above all, silent. But secrets make you sick.”

Ant sprays over an image of Lord Farquaad and looks at herself in a mirror. “I realized that it was time to break out of my prison and take control of my own story,” she continues. “Looking back, I wish other people wouldn’t have had to suffer like I did.” Ant holds a compass pointing West.

Aubrey O’Day called working for Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs ‘torture’

The Masked Singer Season 13 will likely reveal Ant as Aubrey O’Day. She’s spoken out about her mistreatment working under Sean “Diddy” Combs and will continue to support survivors.

“You know, I have such a love-hate with it all because I don’t think I would have been able to be so successful in so many other areas had, I not been trained under Diddy,” she said on the Call Her Daddy podcast. “He was the hardest person that you can work for, and it was torture. And not the work part of it, but the other stuff — mind games. There was a lot of betrayal, there was a lot of lies.”

She added that she received little protection at the time of Danity Kane’s fame. “There was no protecting anyone at that time,” she continued. “You signed a million NDAs and a million contracts that took away your rights.”

The Masked Singer Season 13 airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET on Fox.
