Unfortunately, there is one character leaving The Morning Show. To clarify, Gugu Mbatha-Raw’s character Hannah Schoenfeld died of an overdose in the season 1 finale. As a junior booker, Mitch sexually assaults her. After reporting the incident, the network chairman offered her a promotion. Meanwhile, she was having a hard time dealing with the assault.

The television drama introduces new characters

The Morning Show fans will see many new faces in season 2. Firstly, Julianna Margulies will play Laura Peterson, the straight-talking journalist that goes head to head with Alex in the 60 Minutes interview. According to Newsweek, Margulies revealed that she drew inspiration from Diane Sawyer, Rachel Maddow, and Christiane Amanpour.

“The showrunner Kerry Ehrin gave me this 20-year history before you meet Laura Peterson, which is very rare,” she said. “When you’re acting on a TV show, usually you’re just thrown into the fire. ‘This is the character, and this is where you’re going,’ she gave me where I came from, not where I’m going, and that was amazing.”

Stand-up comedian Hasan Minhaj portrays Eric Nomani, the new host on The Morning Show. In other words, he will serve alongside Bradley. Emmy-award-winning actor Holland Taylor joins as Cybil Richards, the chairwoman of the UBA board.

Hot Shots! star Paola Lambruschini plays Paola Lambruschini, the cryptic documentary filmmaker. Russian Doll actor Greta Lee joins the cast as Stella Bak, the President of News. So, she is youngest and only female to hold the position.

The Conjuring 3 actor Ruairi O’Connor plays Ty Fitzgerald, the new social media expert at The Morning Show. Ty is the youngest team member. Therefore, his colleagues updated on treading news on social media. Karsian plays Gayle Berman, the news producer. Lastly, Comedy actor Will Arnett joins season 2 as Doug, a member of Alex’s team.
